Feeling let down or despairing about recent political and international
events? Wondering what you can do, or feel like giving up? Don't. There is
a lot you can do without leaving your computer. We are a nonpartisan group
of St. Luke members actively involved online in strengthening our
commitment to peace and justice. We are staying in touch with frequent
emails, providing mutual emotional support, staying informed by forwarding
news not seen on network news, and providing links to recommended
websites, action alerts, and events that relate to peace and justice. We
have a weekly newsletter that summarizes such peace and justice
information or actions that members have found and shared...to save
members the time consuming task of scanning the internet for what's going
on. Once a week, in less than 5 minutes, with just a few clicks, you can
help change public policy. We believe that the internet political movement
toward peace and justice has a big impact, so join us to try it out. As
membership and interest grow, we may bring in speakers, attend events as a
group, provide classes at church, undertake outreach and connect with
other peace groups, etc. Meanwhile, our meetings and discussions will be
online, when you have time.
