Formerly known as The St. Lawrence County, NY Parents' support group of Families Together in the North Country, this group started out being just for parents and other adults who care for children with emotional and behavioral issues residing in the St. Lawrence County area of Northern NY. Now that interest has been expressed from neighboring counties, discussion is open to anyone who needs support or gives support regarding children with issues (diagnosed or not) anywhere in Northern NY. As many parents cannot or will not physically attend support group meetings, this forum was formed to have parents reach out at any time of day or night when they get an opportunity to express themselves.

Rules are very simple: no flaming members, no advocating of any form of abuse or violence against children. Advice if any is best received without the words should or must. Spelling and grammar are not important. Recommendations for helpful books, websites, etc. are allowed but please don't advertise anything for sale. If there is a particular professional found to be less than helpful, please give only the absolute facts about the situation which concerns this person. This is so anyone who is benefitting from this professional will not be tempted to make snap judgements and pull their child out of their care based merely on someone else's opinions.
