The St. James Latin Mass Society is a group of Catholic Laity interested in attending the Extraordinary Form of the Mass in Charles Town, WV.
After the release of the Apostolic Letter Summorum Pontificum, on July 7 , 2007, giving all priests of the Latin rite the freedom to celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass according to the 1962 missal, Fr. Brian Owens, then Pastor of St. James Catholic Church, formed an advisory committee in order to help establish the Latin Mass in the area.
Although currently there are no Latin Masses being celebrated at St. James Catholic Church, this e-mail group serves as a means of communication between the faithful interested in attending the TLM in Charles Town.
