St. George's Orthodox Church is located in Pharr, Texas, on the Rio Grande river right on the border with Mexico. It is a Parish of the OCA (Orthodox Church in America)which is made up of a family of Parishioners from nationally, ethnically and racially diverse backgrounds. We welcome Winter Texans and those who would like to assist us in our ongoing service projects to the local community and to those across the Border in Mexico. The purpose of this email list is fourfold: 1) To provide Parish news, scheduling, prayer requests, etc. 2) To share about the Parish's various service projects and ministries. 3)To share Orthodox news from around the globe. 4) To be an ongoing educational and inspiration source, for learning more about the Orthodox Christian faith.
