Thanks to all of you who pitched in for a VERY busy weekend of volunteering!  Between Bingo on Friday and Thanksgiving Baskets on Saturday and Sunday, the Men’s Club really worked hard.  It was a great weekend.

As of yesterday afternoon, we still have about 20 Thanksgiving Baskets to deliver for one reason or another.  If anyone is available to help deliver a basket this evening or tomorrow, please reply back to this email and Eddie or Matt will get in touch with you with the logistics.

Thanks again and have a good day.

Eddie,
I am back in town. Came back 2 nights ago - a bit jet lagged.
If you need more freezer space - let me know I will call around and arrange it for you.
If you can tell me how much of physical space you need - like 10'by 10' or something - I will try and get it done. I have a client who is a baker and he knows a lot of resturanters inthe local area who might help us out . If not I have a client in Murphy  who definetly will.

You can use the 4 foot by 4 foot coolers that the Carnival has.  If you put dry ice in them they will stay cold.

Men,

I think most of you have seen the email about starting at 8:30am tomorrow.  If you can't make it that early, I want to give you a specific window of opportunity.  We are having 527 gallons of milk being delivered sometime between 1-2pm.  A few of us plan to stick around until then, but if you can't make it in the morning but can do 1-2 we would welcome your help.  It shouldn't take long, but it will take a few pairs of hands.

God Bless,

All,

Please distribute accordingly.  Please pray for good weather for Sunday and the safety of our volunteers that will be working on Saturday and Sunday.  Our current count of families that will be receiving a Thanksgiving basket is 582.

Thank you to all that have contributed to this wonderful cause.  If you have not delivered the goods or items that you planned on purchasing, please drop those goods off no later than 8:30 am this Saturday in the kitchen across from the Assembly room.  Items can be dropped off anytime today (until 9:45 pm) or Friday (until 6 pm). For canned items, you will find two tables in the kitchen with bags on it...please place those donations there.  If you will be donating a turkey, please put that in the deep freezer...we have made room.

Please find below items that we are still need.  If you can assist with any of these, please let me know.

Item / Description Remaining Quantity Needed
Aluminum Full cooking pan for turkey 387
Turkey 57
Corn (cans) 312
Green Beans (cans) 185
Yams (can) 384
Mixed vegetables (can) 362
Peas or Carrots (can) 301
Cranberry (can) 376
Stuffing (box) 312
Gravy mix (box/package) 344
5lb bag of potatoes 11
Pumpkin Pie Filling 508
Pie crust 520
Pudding (instant) 280

We also need your help with the assembling and distribution for next weekend's Thanksgiving baskets. We are meeting in the Assembly Room on Saturday Nov 21 at 8:30 am and on Sunday Nov 22 at 11:30 am.

On Saturday, we will organize the Assembly Room for all the canned goods and assemble boxes. In addition, we have numerous pickups for goods and will need individuals to shop for any remaining items.

On Sunday, we need drivers, assembly people, and manpower. We have 3 huge deliveries. We need as much muscle as we can get.

God Bless & Thank you
Eddie

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We are in desperate need of donations for the St. Ann's Men's Club Thanksgiving Basket program.  Next weekend we are delivering over 600 baskets to families and we are short on donations.  For those that have contributed, we thank you for your generosity and sharing your blessings for these families in need.

Please consider this as you prayerfully make a decision: if not you, then who will?

If you can help, please reply to this email or call me at 682-553-9523. I will be keeping a list of what we need to ensure we do not duplicate efforts.  This is a large list but any amount of help would be greatly appreciated.

All donations must be at St. Ann's (in the Main Kitchen across from the Assembly room) no later than next Saturday (November 21st) at 9am.  We can make arrangements to pick up any donations at any home or location.

We also need freezers to temporarily store Turkeys.  If you can help with letting us store turkeys in your freezer, we will make arrangements to drop off and pick up.

Here is what we need:

530 Aluminum full cooking pans for turkey

200 Turkeys

500 gallons of milk

590 cans of corn

575 cans of green beans

435 cans of yams

420 cans of mixed veggies

460 cans of peas or carrots

480 cans of cranberry

426 boxes of stuffing

448 gravy mixes

179 bags of potatoes 5lbs size

250 boxes of mac and cheese

533 pumpkin pie filling

540 pie crusts

460 boxes of jello/pudding

We also need your help with the assembling and distribution for next weekend's Thanksgiving baskets. We are meeting in the Assembly Room on Saturday Nov 21 at 8:30 am and on Sunday Nov 22 at 11:30 am.

On Saturday, we will organize the Assembly Room for all the canned goods and assemble boxes. In addition, we have numerous pickups for goods and will need individuals to shop for any remaining items.

On Sunday, we need drivers, assembly people, and manpower. We have 3 huge deliveries. We need as much muscle as we can get.

Please prayfully consider volunteering and helping with this worthy cause to help provide food for someone who needs it.  Please also pray for good weather and the safety of all our volunteers.

Please share this with anyone you know who can help.

Thanks & God Bless
Eddie

    Thanks for the summary.

    -    Unable to make it this evening.
    -    Need details on pick up on Fri. - where?  How many pickups are needed?  Jay Gaspar has volunteered as well.  He has a truck believe.

Men,

We need a few volunteers this week.

Tonight - We were thinking about doing an inventory of the food items in the kitchen tonight at 6pm.  If anyone is available, please email Eddie (eddieprove04@ yahoo.com) and copy me (carlos.j.benavides@ verizon.com).  This will help make Saturday morning go a lot quicker.

Friday - Angelo will be picking up bread and other items from Sara Lee and will need some bodies to help.  This will be done during the day so if you are available to help please email Angelo (angeloj@verizon. net) and Eddie.

Saturday - As a reminder, Saturday we need a lot of help from 8am - early afternoon depending on how many people show up.  We need to do a final count of food items. Shop for missing items.  Set up assembly room for the basket assembly.  Assemble boxes.  Pick up potatoes.  Put away milk and frozen turkeys.

Sunday - This will happen after 10am mass.  Some of us will probably go to mass on Saturday and show up early to get ready for the crowd.  This is when we assemble the baskets in assembly line style.  If your back is strong enough you can also help load the boxes in the delivery drivers' cars. If you would like to have your family deliver the boxes, you can line up in your car, let someone load your car, grab a map and be off.

Eddie, let me know if I missed anything.

Thanks,

Carlos

Jim,

We will be delivering from 11am to about 3pm so you will have plenty of opportunities for delivery.

Carlos,

The Cub Scouts are planning to show up at 11:00, so what time will the baskets be ready to deliver?  We want to make sure that the scouts who make the effort to show up have something to deliver.  I don't see this as a problem, just wanted a heads up on delivery start time since many of the parishners also help with the delivery.

I don't have any information about it, but I'm available to help pick up stuff on Sunday if we can do that instead of Saturday. That way the "cold" foods don't sit out over night at room temperature.

Does anyone have any information about the Thanksgiving meals Jay and I usually pick up in Richardson from the American Legion?

We’ll need to arrange the truck if we’re going to go up there and pick stuff up on Saturday morning.

Hello Men's Club Members,

I am a member of the Men's Club, and I have also volunteered to be the Co-Chair
of the 2010 American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Coppell.

If your family has ever been touched by cancer, then you already know how
important this event is. If your family hasn't been touched by cancer, then
help us make sure it never is.

Please feel free to stop by one or both of our informational meetings to learn
how you can help create a world with less cancer and more birthdays!

We will be having informational meetings at New Tech High @ Coppell at 6:30 pm
on:
  -Tuesday, November 17, 2009
  -Tuesday, December 8, 2009

The address of New Tech High @ Coppell is:
113 Samuel Blvd
Coppell, TX

We're looking for people who can help in any way. Whether it's volunteering on
the Event Day, helping plan for the Event Day, or sharing your thoughts and
ideas, a little help can go a long way!

So, please invite a friend and come learn how you can make a difference in our
community.

Thank you,

Eddie
