The Colorado Springs/Southern Colorado Babywearers Group is a local group existing to teach and support babywearing and the use of soft cloth babycarriers in our community. Our goal is to help parents learn about and use the many types of baby carriers available and the benefits of holding our babies close.

If you are interested in babywearing, want to learn more about the many types of carriers available, and would you like to try on carriers and learn to use them before you buy/make them, come to our meetings. They're free and open to the public.

Those of us who love babywearing feel that the best way to simulate the cozy, warm environment of the womb is to carry babies in a sling or carrier. We find our babies are calmer, more comfortable and spend more time in that magic "quiet-alert" state that is so great for learning. Plus, we are able to get our arms back and get back into life! Those of you who have a high-needs baby know what I am talking about.

Anyone in the Springs/Monument/Pueblo area (or willing to drive) is welcome to join us. We try hard to keep our focus on babywearing and to be respectful of one another's parenting choices, but we do tend to find we all have one goal, and that's to raise good kids and have a good time doing it!
