Speculative Fiction of the Nebraska Writers Guild is a Yahoo group for dues-paid members to share information specific to their efforts in Science Fiction, Fantasy, Paranormal and Horror, as well as to post pages of works-in progress for critique commentary. Non-Guild members will not be admitted to this list. Members on this list will not forward any comments or material without the poster's documented permission. The Guild Critique lists are benefits of membership. If you are removed from the NWG roster, you will also be removed from this list.

CONTENT
Posters will be solely responsible for the content in both their comments and any shared works-in-progress. Please respect your fellow writers' sensibilities by prefacing if you have any graphic language, sexual content or violence described, so the list member can decide if he or she wishes to read the material. Being a list member does not mean you HAVE to comment on every work-in-progress shared.

CRITIQUES
Comments are expected to be mature and helpful, never denigrating with the tone of blatant "put-downs." a) Recognize and comment on the strengths in the piece then b) identify where improvement might be made. If you can provide a resource or specific rationale, PLEASE mention that to enhance the writer's learning experience. Comments are expected to be specific, but posters should not expect their peers to line-edit or to analyze entire scripts. However, individual list members can offer to do entire work critiques, if they wish.

Every piece of writing will be respected as an example of hard work. Writers must understand that it is the WORK being critiqued and NOT the writer.

Any repeat infraction of the above conditions will result in removal from the list by the Guild list owner(s). Appeal must be made through the Board of the Nebraska Writers Guild.
