Painted Star Equine Rescue Update for the week of Sept. 14th -20th
The vet cancelled for Gracie's Surgery ( she is getting a bone chip removed
from her nose) but will be out on Monday hopefully around 3pm.
We received two new Owner Surrenders on Wednesday Sept. 16th.
Don Carlos a 25yr old Paso Fino Gelding and Sherman a 15yr old Appie Gelding
On Sept. 20th I did some riding and got to ride and evaluate my two mew
friends. Both are very well trained under saddle but know very little on the
ground. They do know the basics: Pick up feet, stand to be groomed and saddled,
and they will Lunge, Don lunges better then Sherman it took Sherman a few
minutes to move away from me but he finally got what I was asking and then did
very well, Neither were afraid of the stick or string. Sherman did follow me
over the Bridge with no issues. They will work on more ground play as the weeks
go by, but they are fit and trained will enough to be ready for Adoption if
anyone is looking for a nice gelding. Both would suit a Intermediate rider
well.
Don Carlos the Paso Fino : Yes he is Gaited.

I also fit in some riding time on Saturday with another Paso mare we
have Magnolia, who is 15yrs old. She is also gaited and ready for adoption. She
would suit a advanced Intermediate rider. Very sweet mare, great ground
manners, loads right in a trailer, but she has a lot of go at this time. She
will come down to a very nice walk though after a few minutes of gaiting. Very
smooth. Will go over cross poles, around barrels and will jump small Obstacles
as well.

Everyone is doing very well. And I will update on Gracie as soon as the vet see's
her.
