The purpose of the South San Francisco Bay/San Jose Military Council is to foster more effective working relationships between and among military units (Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard), local governments, and non-profit service agencies in the South San Francisco Bay and San Jose Region. This area is loosely defined as the area surrounding the San Francisco Bay south of the Oakland Bay Bridge. Moffett Federal Airfield is a central installation in the area.
