Playgroup for Families in the South Bay area of Southern California who are drawn to Attachment Parenting. Attachment Parenting involves breastfeeding including extended breastfeeding and child-led weaning, gentle parenting and babywearing. It is about meeting the needs of your child immediately and with compassion. AP parents often have a family bed and they do not let their children "cry it out." It can also involve cloth diapering, elimination communication, natural or homebirthing, homeschooling and unschooling, selective or not vaccinating, and not circumsizing.

WE WELCOME ALL GENTLE MOMS, even if they do not practice all of the above. No one should feel like they are not "AP enough" to join! This is not a debate group and we ask that all members respect each other. The primary purpose is for children to play and make friends, and for the moms to do the same.

The SouthBay is Carson, Torrance, Lomita, Gardena, San Pedro, and the beach cities. But we also welcome moms from LA, Long Beach, Orange County and other areas. Most playdates take place within the SouthBay.

We meet at parks, beaches, Kid Concepts, peoples homes, farmers markets, and other kid-centered places.
