Sourcer-Jobs is a FREE list where recruiters/employers can post jobs and sourcers can post resumes for sourcing work ONLY as well as discuss issues of interest to sourcers. It’s suggested those needing Internet Sourcers (or Sourcing Specialists or Internet Researchers as some call them) include “Job Open” in the subject and sourcers looking for work include “Job Wanted." All messages must be approved before being posted to the list.

Only people who receive this list as individual messages can view attachments when they're first posted. Anyone receiving the digest version of the list needs to go to the Yahoo! Groups site to see them. Be aware that Yahoo! Groups obscures your e-mail address when your message is put in the archives. If you want someone searching the archives to contact you, you’ll need to include other contact info in your message unless you included an attachment with this info.

Caution to sourcers: If a position is commission-based, it’s wise to see if the recruiters you’ll work with are experienced/skilled. Also, it’s good to learn how many job orders they have. If too many, they may not be able to provide adequate follow up with candidates and clients. Finally, it’s smart to find out the firm's reputation since, unfortunately, some have made placements without paying commissions owed until legal action was taken.
