NEWS FLASH! Lost Soo Steamer discovered in Columbus, North Dakota:

Well, not exactly lost, but who would have thought to look in a town
with a population of less than 150 for a preserved locomotive? It has
never been listed in any society materials as being a Soo engine.

This is Soo 2412, class F-20, Built by Alco Brooks Works in 1905 as
WC 172, construction number 37605. I don't have disposition data for
Soo locomotives, it this one last worked for the Baukol-Noonan Coal
Co. and as numbered 173. I'm a bit surprized at that number, and
wonder if this isn't really Soo 2413?

Stu, do you have any data on this engine?
