Sock Yarn Sales (SYS) was set up after the Ad Days on Mary Moran's famous Socknitter's list were discontinued.

I hope this list will be of great benefit to both our small-business vendors needing to advertise their Cool Sock Stuff and for their very anxious customers: buyers who need their regular infusion of Cool Sock Stuff to avoid the serious dangers of Sock-a-nemia. :-) Many buyers must rely exclusively on the on-line vendors for supplies, as there are no local vendors in their area.

This is NOT a chat list, so no avalanche of posts will hit your inbox. I have 2 basic rules - both very simple!

2 posts per week are allowed for ANY member (Vendor or buyer) for these 6 purposes: AD, TRADE, DESTASH(ing), WANTED, TAKEN or FOUND. The last 2 are to let people know when an item they offered is gone, or an item they needed has been found.

BALL WINDERS, SWIFTS, NOSTEPINNES, SPINDLES & WHEELS (for those who
spin their OWN sock yarn!)

SOCK LOOMS & SOCK KNITTING MACHINES
YARN METERS/YARN TENSIONERS
NEEDLES
KNITTING ACCESSORIES: stitch/row markers, counters, needle caps, gauge
templates, needle cases/keeps, etc...
KNITTING SOFTWARE
TOTES & BAGS
SOCK PATTERNS
BOOKS & MAGS (with at least ONE sock pattern in it!)
DECORATIVE BEADS (for beaded socks)
ELASTIC/WOOLY NYLON/SPANDEX THREADS used as carry-alongs with sock yarn
ART FIGURINES OF PEOPLE (or animals?) KNITTING (esp. socks!)
SOCK-KNITTING wearing apparel (t-shirts, hats)
COFFEE/TEA mugs & cups with knitting themes
