Welcome to the world of the Southern California Working Snow Dog! This group is open to all dog enthusiasts who want to share their ideas, questions, experiences and participate in dog-powered sports for their working dog. We organize informal fun events such as dogsledding, carting, scootering, bikejoring, skijoring, canicross, hiking, backpacking, etc. Although these activities are geared more towards the northern breed, such as the Siberian Husky, Alaskan Malamute, Samoyed and Akita to name a few, all breeds are welcome to join in as long as the dogs (and owners) are properly socialized.

Since we are based in Southern California, we mostly train our dogs through urban mushing activities with scooters, bicycles, and carts, often times in city parks, urban trails, and even neighborhood streets.

Working dogs are happiest when they have a purpose and enjoy doing what they were bred to do. Please join us for some urban mushing fun and help promote a healthier, happier, and more meaningful lifestyle for your beloved canine companion.
