Welcome to SoCalKin. This is an Otherkin gathering forum [obligatory - not a Role-Playing forum], otherkin (very) loosely defined here [for those of you stumbling on this site who don't already know].

This Yahoo Group is for discussion between Kin in the Southern California area. However it isn't limited to just on-line discussion. On the contrary it is specifically geared towards the goal of getting members of the group to attend a gather in the region. This Yahoo! group was formed after discussion at the first (un-named) SoCalKin Mini-Gather on March 22nd. Unless you are willing to work towards the goal of meeting kin in your local area, this might not be the group for you... there are other regional groups that aren't dedicated to gathering that are more appropriate, such as WestKin.

This group is not solely limited to Southern California... though the name may imply differently. We are more than overjoyed to have Kin in from out of the area if they are willing to make the trip, or can arrange carpooling in. It is only that events, are only being scheduled in this area, and it was a convenient name.
