This group is a place where friends, smokers or non-smokers, get together to share resources and ideas, helping and encouraging one another to stop smoking. Tobacco is the single greatest preventable cause of disease and premature death in America today. Cigarette smoking accounts for nearly one-third of all cancer deaths in this country each year. Quitting will lower your chances of having a heart attack, stroke, or cancer. You will live longer and feel better. The health benefits of smoking cessation (quitting) are immediate and substantial. Friends will give you support to achieve this common goal. Please feel free to post your questions, share your ideas and concerns with one another. If you are a clinician, or any health professional, please kindly provide professional assistance with your advice, recommendation or reference.
