Welcome to the Sisu Designs group where you can get all the news from Sisu Designs Knitting, Weaving and Yarn Shop in Ely, Minnesota. We're a hundred miles north of the western tip of Lake Superior, which means we're almost in Ontario, Canada, and we are right on the edge of the Boundry Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.

We sell yarn, knitting needles, knitting patterns, spinning wheels, looms, carders, swifts, ball winders, bobbin winders, shuttles and many other related items. We have a regular Wednesday evening knitting group and also teach knitting, spinning and weaving.

Each year we hold fall and winter Lost In the Woods Knitting Retreats (knitting camps) in northern Minnesota, as well as our spring retreat at Ghost Ranch in New Mexico. News about these retreats will be posted right here on this group. If you are a member, you may click the Files link to the left to download information about our retreats.

This is not a general discussion group, so the volume of messages will be quite low. If a member has something to share that might be of interest to the whole group, though, it can be sent either to the group address or the owner address and the moderator will post it to the group if it seems appropriate to do so.
