SibTeen is a fun, thoughtful and inviting group for teen brothers and sisters of kids with special needs. Hosted by the Sibling Support Project, SibTeen exists to give teen sibs a place where they can share their unique joys and concerns with others who truly "get it."

SibTeen also exists as a Facebook group which you are most welcome to join. However, as Facebook can be a very public forum, some SibTeens might find it easier to discretely chat with others here on the Yahoogroup version of SibTeen.

In order to protect members, membership in SibTeen requires approval.

When you register, you will see statement saying "Please tell the group owner about yourself and why you would like to join the group" In the box that follows, please provide the following information. You may wish to copy the below information requested because these prompts do not appear on the registration page. (It's a limitation of yahoogroups, sorry!)

We'll need:

* Your first and last name
* The name of the school you attend
* Year of birth
* Country
* Zip or postal code
* Bonus optional question: Is there a name for your sib's special needs? If so, what is it?

PLEASE KNOW: This information is not available to anyone anywhere on Yahoo and we will never share this information with anyone except in the case of an emergency!

Once we get this information, we will approve your membership and you'll be good to go! But please know: Moderators are volunteers and approvals can take up to one week or longer. Thanks for your patience!
