Julie,Glad you saw my "shout out". I guess mostly the bottom sewing I just
need to clarify in my mind. Are you like, folding up twice so the raw edges are
enclosed, and then sewing the seam?
I also remove the selvages, but have started doing french seams so they are
encased. Also the 4" of cuff is what I do. I have also found and made a few
with a contrasting cuff where after sewing cuff and main together, you roll up
the main part and when you fold the cuff to sew the raw edge to the sewn one,
the main part is rolled up inside that. Then after sewing that seam, you pull
the main part out and the seam is on the inside. Again, no stray threads ! I
could dig out the link if anyone is interested.
I actually have 2 done for my oldest GS for next Christmas! I love that you
can make them all so different, whether you embroider or not. And what you can
buy is so expensive and not a great selection. I make sure to check out the
clearance aisles for flat sheets, as I can get a lot out of a sheet.
Thanks for answering me, I might just have to whip out some from the pile of
material that even now is staring at me waiting.

Jo
