If your machine has it or you have software that will let you add a basting
stitch to the design it will hold the Solvy type WSS in place. I got some years
ago for FSL and hate it! So I'm still working on the roll. You can pin or hand
baste it too. I only use it as a topper and baste. My Elna has a basting stitch
and when I use the Singer I add it to the design in Embird. I use H2Gone or one
of the woven WSS.

Subject: [SiCKDesigns] Stabilizer problem
I have a Brother SE270D that I am trying to learn to use. I bought some
towels at Sams to practice on. I used a tearaway stabilizer on the bottom and a
water soluble on the top. It is like a heavy saran wrap. Is that the right
stuff ??? When I tried it, the presser foot would stick to it, and the towel
would move but not correctly. It was a mess. I tried using the tulle and top
and it worked very well for me. But I have a roll of the other stuff and want
to use it. What did I do wrong ?? I hope someone can help.
Thanks.
Dorothy
