We are a group of women and men who believe in using our hands by weaving, knitting, or crocheting. Athena Ergane, Athena the Workerwoman, is our patron Goddess, and we do these things in Her honour. Our prayer/mediatation shawls and lap robes are donated to various hospitals around the country after being dedicated to Her. In addition, we make soft hats for patients undergoing chemo-therapy. It does not matter if the religious beliefs of those who receive these items are the same as ours, as we all believe in the power of prayer. The picture of Athena which I chose for this group is a study by Leonardo da Vince of a woman with a yarn-winder. I think it represents Athena Ergane rather well.
