KARMIRHATH, a humanitarian organization is based at Gaibandha in northern Bangladesh. Besides running a charitable hospital at Gaibandha for the poor, it has undertaken a few more humanitarian projects. Two of them are: (i) making the marriageable girls from ultra-poor families income generating individuals through extensive one-year training under Anti-Dowry Program and (ii) Distributing wheelchairs FREE among poor physically disable people. 3300 wheelchairs have so far been distributed since 2006 and another consignment of 3300 wheelchairs are being shipped for distribution in 2009. While working with the disabled people, we came across a large number of poor students who need hearing-aids to continue their education. We are looking for donors of hearing-aids for the poor students. If any of the readers know about such donors, please let us know.
