This group is for sharing information about, and experiences with, Sheldon and Sebastian lathes and other Sheldon and Vernon machine tools. Be sure to check the Files, Photos, and Links sections. These areas contain some basic information on Sheldon, Vernon, and Sebastian machines. Members are encouraged to upload Sheldon pictures to the Photos section.

If you want an owner's manual or parts for your Sheldon lathe, please check the Files for "Sheldon Parts FAQ" and the Links sections for sources. I try to update the FAQ regularly so check this file occasionally for new information and sources. If you have new information please let me know so I can add it to the FAQ.

To add your personal info to the Sheldon database, go to Database and create a new record for your machine. There you can also locate members who own specific models of machines.

I now require all prospective Sheldonlathe members to request membership and include a coherent note regarding why they wish to join Sheldonlathe. I realize this is an inconvenience but I need to eliminate spammers. Spammers will be banned from this group, reported to their ISP, and their posts will be deleted.

Important Note: Sheldonlathe's Photos and Files sections have been reopened for new postings by members. You may also post files and photos in my alternate group, Sheldonlathe2. This group also requires that prospective members submit a request.
