This group originated in Shelby County, Alabama for the homecshool families in and around this area. Its purpose is to provide a place to meet other homeschool families, discuss methods of teaching, compare curriculum, share ideas and socialize. It is also a place for new or seasoned homeschoolers to find strength and support from other families in a similar situation.

As a newbie to homeschooling, I found it difficult to find families living in the area that I live. When I opened this group, I was astonished at the number of people that responded. I am thrilled the group has grown this fast in a matter of months and look forward to meeting the families here. Thanks so much for the support and help you have all given.
