I missed that one, but accidentally, yes I also used to love it, mind you I really like Ronnie Barker, I never liked him as part of the Two Ronnies, but on his own he is so brilliant. I could have written a list as long as your arm of my favourite programmes but I thought people might get bored :-)

To my mind, there's no comedy show can compete with that.
I can never understand why, with all the repeats they do, they have never repeated I, Claudius. This one is well worth watching over again, and Jacobi made a wonderful Claudius.
Jack that took three minutes to get here..faster than the speed of light!!
Superlist..

I've zapped listbot for good..

Good photos for a concert. Lucky you were so near. I always wanted to find
someone with photos of the "dark side of the moon" Pink floyd tour in about
72/73. I had the best seat in the house for that one (J24). I got to Wilson
Pecks about 30 mins early, and there was no one there! Figured I must have got
the date of sale wrong, but no, I was correct, and was the first person to buy a
ticket for that concert. Did the same with Frank Zappa too, but he cancelled.
For those that dont know, row J was about 10 rows back, right in the middle.
There was a huge open space just in front of it, so you weren't right up at the
front leaning your neck.

Hello Sharon,
I have managed to find the photos I took at the concert and believe it or
not the concert ticket. The pictures aren't of the highest quality, but at
least you can see his face :-)), I spent hours drooling over them when I was
young.
I would also like to see Joni Mitchell, I'm sure that you will enjoy the
concert.
Cheers

Hallo Jack,
It's all a bit muddlesome this weekend with the last messages from Listbot
coming through with a hugh delay.
Sorry I nearly missed out on reading about Nicola. Congratulations on her
graduation !
I bet it doesn't seem two minutes since she left school and started her
further education ! IPlease pass on my congratulations and best wishes to
her.
I am sorry to hear about your grandma being so poorly.
Pat.

Mick,
If you take the option on "My Profile" http://www.egroups.com/myprofile to
Edit Profile and then change to "Send me plain text mail" at the bottom of
the page, & then Save Changes.
That should stop the flashy adverts.
Cheers
Dave

Well... my replies haven't yielded an advert.....
Let's see if a fresh message gets "infected."
If it doesn't... please excuse the previous outburst.

You don't seem to get Formula 1 racing in the USA, not that I've ever seen,
or rallying either. The big thing here is NASCAR. Totally boring, the cars
race round strictly oval tracks, they are "regular cars" (except have
special engines that run on 108 octane fuel). Just round and around and
around......... People here tend to be fanatical about the sport.
(*yawn*).
Jack.
Thank you Rob for making the new group! Now perhaps we can get some
decent discussions going without these vast delays. I noticed over the
last 5 days (today is day 5 of the shutdown) that posts had dropped to
almost nil, so it really was killing the list, and I'm glad Rob moved
it. Even outside of the last 5 days, the constant 30 mins to 2 hours
delay was just abismal.
Hopefully we can now have a great fresh start, good conversation, and a
happy future!!
Cheers to all,
Jack.
It also gets round my problem of not being able to send messages without a
lot of messing about. :-)
Cheers
Dave
