Sharing With Artist Partners (SWAP) began as a group of watercolor artists sharing their small, original works of art on a quarterly basis. We continued doing SWAPs each quarter of the year from 2003-2011.
Now, we are switching to NAKED POSTCARD PAINTINGS with everyone sending a postcard to everyone in the database.
Rules:
1. Commitment of one year is required for all members, with each member mailing 1-2 postcards (size is 4" x 6" only) each month 2. Post to the site when you receive your postcards so we all share in viewing them 3. This is not a quarterly but a yearly adventure 4. A limit of 24 members for the first year 5. Use the postcard database (see left sidebar on the homepage) list of names and addresses (make sure your information is correct and you have added a zip code or postal code as needed) 6. Send your first card to the person's name alphabetically below your own - example, if your name is the 3rd in line, you begin sending your cards to the 4th and 5th members in line below you 7. You may send all in one month or spaced out over the year 8. Any water media is acceptable - that includes acrylic, watercolor, watercolor pencils, pen and ink with watercolor washes, fluid acrylic, water based drawing (Tombow pens, ect.). If you seal your postcard painting before mailing, you could even include a bit of collage work (just make sure it doesn't get torn off in the mail).
