This is a group for exchanging information on sextants and other instruments for measuring visual dihedral angles at sea, aloft, or in the field; the use of such instruments for navigation, surveying, and like purposes; other instruments for navigation, surveying, etc.; and other related matters including marine and aerial navigation, surveying, the use and care of instruments, and the industry and technology that produced these instruments. Everyone is welcome to post information and questions regarding history, specific instruments, sales, wants, etc.

In order to prevent spammers from exploiting this group, in the future all those who join will do so in moderated status, requiring approval of messages before they are sent on to members. Once a new member's bona fides are established, he or she will be allowed to post freely thereafter.
