Description

If you haven't been hipped to the phenomenon of 'AVATAR', you should turn in your human being card as a citizen of planet Earth. It's one of the best, well done and engaging animated series done in the last twenty years.

On July 19th, following a week of all new new Avatar episodes entitled “Countdown to the Comet”, the animate movie named Sozin’s Comet: The Final Battle (4 back-to-back episodes) aired as the series conclusion to Avatar: The Last Airbender.

The reviews for Sozin’s Comet were extremely positive and hopeful.
The effects on the audience were MINDBENDING.

The massively epic finale brought massively epic ratings. According to Nielsens ratings for last week, finale night brought in almost 6 MILLION VIEWERS (the fourth highest watched thing that night…that’s pretty good for a kid’s show) from all over the nation, setting it as the highest watched Avatar event in history. This also made Avatar: The Last Airbender the highest watched animation feature in United States television history. Needless to say, the net international viewers for Sozin’s Comet will undoubtedly reach upwards of 10 million+ viewers, as Avatar also has a strong fan base in multiple regions of the world.

As for Countdown to the Comet (the 6 episodes-including one movie The Boiling Rock) that aired in the week preceding the Sozin’s Comet finale, those episodes also gained around 4-5 million viewers per episode. And the most satisfying thing is that each consecutive day of that week, the viewers of each episode got larger and larger in amounts from hundreds-of-thousands to millions.
