SCIENCE AND PUBLIC HEALTH JOURNALISM (SciPH) Forum

The SciPH Forum promotes excellence in science and public health journalism, especially in developing countries. It is not only an information hub, but also an avenue for media discourse on policies in all identified areas of science and applied medical science.

We aim to enhance science and public health journalism by ensuring the availability of evidence-based, current and up-to-date information for use by members.

The Forum also serves as a platform where members could share knowledge, information and experience on issues related to science, environment, public health, and other key development areas.



Objectives

1. To promote effective science and public health journalism practice
2. To mobilize active participation of journalists in science and public health policy discourse
3. To ensure access by all journalists to evidence based, current and up-to-date information as well as share resources among developing country media.
4. To create a link between media development practitioners, researchers and policy makers, with a view to advance initiatives for the communication of Science and Public Health in the society.
5. To collaborate with other institutions, networks and organizations locally and internationally for the rapid development of media response to science and public health issues.
