Re: [Sci-Fi_Armor] Re: Flicks

well..., i did catch up with "the last legion" and while i've only skimmed it so far it seems to be a decent fantasy flick based in the arthurian legend. i'll watch it in full as soon as i can find a free hour and a half or so.

My lovely wife and I are really hooked on Anime as they can have some wonderful stories, fantastic artwork, and the characters never rag about the salaries they make or threaten to go on strike if work conditions don't improve. We really enjoyed the Ghost In The Shell series and currently are enjoying the Gundum series shown late night on SyFy(SciFi); thank goodness for DVR.
On another note, I have to say I'm a huge mech fan, BattleTech, Mech Warriors, etc... That was one of the reasons I got excited about the WoW:Goliath, Steam Mechs!! Speaking of Mechs maybe one of our fellow Sci-Fi_Armor brethren can confirm a rumor. I had heard that Toby McGuire of Spiderman fame, purchased the Robotech franchise and is in the works for an action movie. Anybody heard that or know anything about it?

You and Me BOTH!!! --- Oddly (other than the Granddaughters' stuff) I don't watch much Anime/Cartoons anymore. Other than the original ~ HEAVY METAL ~ (from back in the day) the only thing we own and even often re-watch is ~ FINAL FANTASY -- The Spirits Within. ~ I'm not even sure why not. I guess FF spoiled us so if anything else pops up it has to measure up or out it goes. This HM ~ GOLIATH ~ vid is the first one to really peak my interests. Of course being even remotely connected to WotW certainly helps give it a leg (or three!) up! --LOL

> July is the month that Sy-Fy, that still bugs me, starts some returned good series and a new one, so maybe my sci-fi fix will come closer to being satisfied. I'm holding my breath. <

Man do I hear THAT! Been mainlining ~ FARSCAPE ~ to get our SF fix.--- BUT --- TONIGHT! ---

Tuesday ~~~ WAREHOUSE 13 !!!!!!

And then they bring back ~~~ EUReKA!!!!

Am I excited??? --LOL

We turned it on just because we saw the list of names starring in it. Firth, Kingsley, Sangster, and we both really liked Kevin McKidd in the HBO series ~ ROME ~!!! (Now THAT'S a GREAT one!) In this he plays the Bad Guy so it was kind of hard to hate him. --LOL

Not a big Potter fan myself, but I caught a teaser for this one --- Man! Did that look Dark and Grim! --- I thought these things were suppose to be more for kids??? Heck, I might even make a point of watching it when it hits DVD.

Keep It FUN!
