Speaking of Mechs maybe one of our fellow Sci-Fi_Armor brethren can confirm a rumor. I had heard that Toby McGuire of Spiderman fame, purchased the Robotech franchise and is in the works for an action movie. Anybody heard that or know anything about it?
I had heard that somebody bought the Robotech Franchise but couldn't get independent confirmation on who it was. It would be great to have a live action Mech flick.
Anybody else remember that mess "Robot Jox"? No name cast, poor effects, particularly un-watchable story line. 90 plus minutes of my life I'll never get back. Too bad really, the premise looked promising. I rented it on VHS (remember those?) way back when. They even had the unmitigated gonads to release a sequel (Straight to Video) called Robot Wars.
