It means that they use a UHF link from the CACC to the repeater site, as opposed
to bell lines or microwave.

There was a UHF link in Niagara between the old CACC and the 150.100 tower in
Fonthill...used to give GREAT listening!

... It's the link between dispatch and a distant repeater, or between repeaters....
