Description

Return to the days of 29 cent Aurora kits, Revell 'S' kits with swivel stands, and Lindberg kits in 'Cellovision' boxes! How about Aurora 'Speed-Dry' paint, Revell Type 'S' cement, and 10 cent Testors 'Pla' enamel? Nostalgia is where it's at!

Come here to discuss the great old kits of yesteryear. Swap, sell, trade parts, or just reminisce about the good old days of scale modeling. Post box art, built kits, and other reminders of modeling's early days. File attachments are welcome but please consider the restrictions of dial-up subscribers and those with limited mailboxes.

We specialize in injection-molded plastic airplane kits but any type of scale model of any medium is welcome; cars, armor, ships, whatever.

The XC-99 was originally equipped with single-wheel main landing gear with very heavy runway loading that restricted it to a very small number of airfields.

Re: XC-99
Fascinating photos. I don't think that anyone ever issued a kit of the XC-99. What astounds me is that this ancient monster was still in one piece in 1988. Do
