Save Our Democracy (SOD) is a "grass roots" temporary alliance among concerned independents, Democrats, Greens, Libertarians, and Republicans, in the U.S., and globally among small-d democrats, conservationist conservatives, and populist progressives who want to pay more than lip service to ideals rooted in SOD.

During the fall of 2007, we conducted Media Dialogs & Meetups on war, warming & reform to influence choice of party nominees for President (& VP) at winter and spring 2008 caucuses & primaries. Then, through 2008 elections, SOD's purpose was to facilitate Dalog08 to focus on key issues globally, nationally and locally. Via Dialog09, we are attempting to get beyond partisan bickering to focus on implementing bottom up solutions to problems concerning the economy, energy. education, elections, etc,
