When Ron Burks wanted to increase the density on his School Avenue property, Michael Saunders got a whole mess of Young Professionals to come down to City Hall, wait around for hours to testify that they wanted the City give Ron Burks a "density Bonus" to help provide "affordable housing."
Now, Habitat is offering those folks (an all of us) a real chance to become part of the solution by putting their backs and hands to work.
It some of the best "work" you'll ever do and alongside some of the best citizens Sarasota has to offer. You'll likely learn, teach and make new friends and come away each day with a feeling of satisfaction and pride and that "spring in your step."

Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Work a half day or full day)
The Habitat office is a busy place! Volunteers are needed to file, collate, enter data, answer phones, and work on special projects. If you have an area of expertise that you'd like to share with us, let us know. Opportunities available in the development and family support department.

Habitat/Scotty's Clearance Center
Scotty's is located at 325 School Ave 1 block South of Ringling Blvd
Friday and Saturday only, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Tool Maintenance & Repair Volunteer
Duties include maintaining and repairing electric and battery drills, saws, air compressors, pressure washers, lawn mowers and other equipment on a regular basis to ensure safe operation.
This position requires previous experience in the tool and equipment repair field.
Jobsite Volunteer Crew Leaders
Join our team of volunteer crew leaders.
We provide the necessary training to make you a successful crew leader.
Basic remodeling experience required.
We provide training, CPR certification, jobsite work lists, and much more.
Specialist Volunteer
Have a trade you are good at? Or more than one?
We need you! Carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, drywall, etc.
Join our core group of specialist volunteers and help us help our community.
Facilities Maintenance Volunteer
ReHabitat is looking for an experienced facilities maintenance volunteer to help maintain our Habitat facilities .
