This Yahoo Group is the virtual manifestation of Diversity Center transgender support groups. Transgender people and allies in Santa Cruz, the South Bay and the greater Monterey Bay Area (including Female-to-Male and Male-to-Female transsexuals, transgenderists, cross-dressers, drag queens/kings, etc.) are invited to share information relative to our community. This is a support group rather than a dating group. Please try to stay on topic. Your personal experience is most welcome. Flames are not allowed. Stay respectful of others. Remember, we are a diverse community; what is right for one is not necessarily right for another.

Both Trans people and partners are encouraged to attend our open support and discussion group which meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays 7:30-9:30pm.

The Diversity Center also offers a FTM (female-to-male) only Transgender Discussion and Support Group. Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday each month 7:30-9pm.

The FTM group is open to anyone who was labeled female at birth and no longer feels that is complete or accurate. Group members may identify as or be exploring identities including: FTM, transman, guy, man, male, transgender, transsexual, gender queer, intersexed, gender-questioning, cross-dresser, male-to-male, transbutch, boi, drag king, bigender, genderless, trannyfag, etc.

Groups meet at The Diversity Center, 1117 Soquel Avenue, Santa Cruz. Groups are hosted by trained facilitators providing a safe, sensitive and caring experience to all.
