The Santa Barbara Social Justice Advocates Web listserv grew out of increased political awareness in the wake of the anti-WTO social justice advocacy in Seattle, N20. Many people who are interested in both local and global social and economic justice issues derive support and information from this group. Alternative viewpoints are encouraged at this information and discussion oriented list. We are aggressively anti-racist and anti-sexist. We think globally and act locally to break the stranglehold of corporations on the people of the state, the Americas and the world. Posting of high quality, verifiable, progressive news is encouraged in order to provide insight into current local and global political incidents.
