The Freecycle Network™ is a grassroots nonprofit group of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns.

What is Freecycle?
The Freecycle Network's mission includes reducing waste and fostering cooperation between nonprofit organizations and the public. Check out freecycle.org for more info.

How does Freecycle work?
One rule: Everything posted must be free. Whether it's a sofa, a fax machine, guitar, or an old window to be given away, it can be posted on the network. Or, maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself? Respond to the posting directly and you just might get it. After that it is up to the giver to set up a pickup time for passing on the treasure. Finding homes for things in your community and not your landfill.
