I always believed that you could find just about any and every two men who had as much as smiled at one another (well, okay, not quite <g>) as a slash pairing on the Internet.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered that this wasn’t the case as far as Neil Burnside and Willie Cain from the 1970s British ‘Secret Intelligent Service’ TV show ‘The Sandbaggers’ went. I could not find any fanfiction or any lists, or even any reference to the possibility that a relationship, other than friendship and working, existed.

So, rather than keep waiting and moaning about it, I decided to start this list. It’s slash and is for the purposes of discussing/writing about, etc. etc. the more-than-just-good-friends-and-colleagues relationship that existed between Neil Burnside (DOps) and Willie Cain (Sandbagger No. 1).

It’s for people who believed that Neil and Willie loved one another and want to talk about that love and anything relating to The Sandbaggers. Discussions re: the other characters (Jeff, Mike, Laura, ‘C’, Peele, Wellingham, etc.) are also more than welcome – after all The Sandbaggers was more than just two people - but the main focus is the relationship between Neil and Willie.

There is one main ‘rule’ of this list and that is MUTUAL RESPECT.
