The alligator farm and tilapia fish farm near Alamosa uses 87 F geothermal water from 2,000 ft deep. A test well at another Alamosa site showed temp of 85 F

... I agree about heating a home with it, but from what I understand it can be rather expensive even if you do your own drilling, the permitting process is
