Description
Salon Liberty is a social venue for free spirits. Under the cosmopolitan aegis of the Republic of Letters, this is a place for citizens of the world to discuss philosophy, art, politics, religion, culture, sexuality, or whatever else interests an independent mind. The salonmistress seeks those for whom the cry of a particular individual for a life of one's own is not lost in the intricacies of ideologies or the prison of provincial horizons.
I strive to keep this Salon as a sanctuary for those who are by chance, choice, or curse nonconformists, and welcome independent philosophers, artists and musicians, alternative cultures and spiritualities, youth, gays and lesbians, women of the cloth, and those whose lives may be mostly on the edge. I welcome anarchists, progressives, feminists, libertarians, and others- those whose sense of life cannot abide the laying aside of either mind or passion. This is a place for those who cherish the open society and the unwalled city, who believe the pursuit of truth and the expression of passion possess rights which transcend the claims of all family, tradition and authority.
Entrance to the salon is by necessity moderated for my own and my guests' privacy. That said, my invitations.

Re: The Banner is closing
I'm sorry, Victoria. But the answer is no. I don't wish this salon to remain open. I don't wish to see something which I created become something I dislike
