Hi and welcome to The Sail Japan Open Forum. This is a group for foreign sailors who live in or are cruising to Japan. Japanese sailors are also welcome to participate, but please be aware that the official language of the group is English.
The group has a truly international membership with members representing America, Australia, Austria, Canada England, Germany, Japan, Korea, and New Zealand. In no particular order, our members fall into one of four categories: yacht owners, dinghy sailors, 'crew' (non boat owning sailors) and landlubbers. All are very welcome.
The general purposes of both "Sail-Japan" and "Sail Japan Open Forum" are:

To promote participation in sailing in Japan, both the sport and the way of life, to any that approach us in languages other than Japanese.
To increase awareness amongst the Japanese sailing community that we exist and that we sail here too.
To provide a forum for members and guests to meet others, share their experiences and air their views.
To provide access to and to convey important sailing related information not normally or not easily obtainable in languages other than Japanese to our members.
To expand the horizons of and open doors to opportunity for our members.
To represent our members interests in any dealings with Japanese sailing authorities.
To add a sense of community to a varied and thinly spread group of folk a long way from home.
Welcome aboard
