OK, the Pow-Wow at DQU is a bust. Pam and I hauled the whole enchilada out there to find no power or water as the bills had not been paid in Goddess knows how long. However, knowing this was the case, the ball had been dropped concerning port-a-pots and a generator. Those that were "in charge" were wandering as though lost and there was no sense of urgency of any kind.

So, we packed up and went home.

However, we still support the cause and Pam's looking for ways to do something that'll work and garner the media attention this travesty deserves. Any thoughts or advice you might have would be greatly appreciated.

For those that have forgotten and are looking for a worthy cause to support, the DQU Pow-wow is tomorrow from Noon to Midnight.

This said, let me give you a quick note from my wife...

Hi All,

Most of you have never seen a post from me (the drum makers wife). However, I wanted to add a few words to Don's email.

We all hear so much about how kids today don't care, about how selfish and self-centered they are, etc. The young people at DQU are a true inspiration! Despite all that these students have been put through, they continue to hang in there and remain true to themselves and their belief in their school.

It would be so wonderful, with everything that is happening in the US (and world) today to not only come out to show support for these courageous young people, but to demonstrate that there is good in the world.
We can make a difference. We have the power within us to manifest the change that we want to see.

To everyone, blessed be! A ho!

Pam
