TYPES OF GATHERINGS
(most with a few very short meditations +sometimes a brief poem between dances;there are both coed + women-only events):
1)SUFI:Sufi Dances(heart-centered mostly partner dances[some unpartnered dances]where we do simple walking patterns while singing short Rumi-like upbeat contemporary poetry/songs to each other in English generally to exotic spicy live music;involves eye contact +simple symbolic hand gestures which honor/celebrate each other.Created from diverse new or old global or creative traditons;uplifting to the spirit.Donation requested,noone turned away for lack of$)
2)DUP: Dances of Universal Peace: Like SUFI but w/uplifting songs/dances in native languages from spiritual traditions around the world.Generally by donation,but occasionally fee required to attend
3)DEVO:Devotional Singing:Gather to sing or listen to uplifting meditative songs.Donation requested,noone turned away for lack of$
4)SACRED CIRCLE DANCE:Gatherings include all of the above and/or other global spiritual movement traditions(and/or dances which have nuances of Sacred Temple Dance,part of what is called Mysteries in ancient traditions).Donation requested,noone turned away for lack of$
