Hoping a Browncoat out there can give me some advice -
My brother was interested in the graphic novel or whatever form Book's backstory
was going to take. I haven't heard anything recently about that moving forward.
Does anyone have any info on it or maybe a suggestion for an alternative gift if
the story of Book isn't out there yet? Thanks!

Hey gang!

Just got a call from Jeanine's Mom....her back surgery was today and went
well....we won't be able to actually talk to her till late tonight or
tomorrow....please send lots of prayers and positive thoughts her way! This has
been a LONG time coming, and we don't know how much if any good it will do, but
life has been pretty miserable for the last 3 years, and it was getting worse,
so we are hoping for anything we can get in the way of pain relief.

We will try to give you updates as we get them....

:) Dabee/Deb

Hey kids, how are y'all doing? I'm writing because I'm heading to San
Francisco your way next Thursday (12/10) to Sunday (12/13) and wanna hang
out with as many of y'all as possible! That being said, I have a tentative
schedule of happenings for next week that I'd love for y'all to be a part
of. So far:

Thursday - Nothing, travel day, wanna keep clear at the moment. ^_^

Friday - Friday evening, Nicole Z has generously offered to have a little
shindig at her place starting around 8 PM. This will be more of a general
hanging out sort of thing, but we can also bake some easy-to-make cookies,
I'm told. If you need the address or anything, please ask Nicole or I. ^_^
Nothing planned in the daytime yet, hopefully sightseeing or relaxing.

Saturday - Dickens Fair during the day! I know there's a meetup that day,
but I'm hoping y'all can come to the fair afterwards to hang out. I'm also
hoping to do some kind of dinner that night if any of y'all are
interested. If anyone has ideas or suggestions, lemme know. Arielle has
mentioned some place called Nora's or Noma's or something...

Sunday - Before we drive back I'd like to know if any of y'all would like
to meet for lunch/brunch somewhere. If anyone has ideas or suggestions,
lemme know.

So that's it, so far at least. ^_^ I hope to see a bunch of ya while up
there, and hope y'all are having a great day. See y'all soon. ^_^

We are excited to announce the 2010 Browncoat Ball will be hosted in the
beautiful city of Charlotte, NC. Save the dates Oct 22-24, 2010. This event will
be more than just a fancy shindig with hot cheese. Its going to be an entire
weekend of misbehavin' Browncoats from all over the known 'verse. There will be
plenty of fun, excitement, camaraderie, costumes, train rides and sweet tea &
BBQ for all. Its time for gentlemen to get Rhett Butlery and ladies to get their
hoop skirts on. The Browncoat Ball is going Southern and if you didn't know
before, you will know now, how fine Southern hospitality truly is. Join the
Charlotte Browncoats and the Greenville Browncoats in this celebration of all
things Firefly.

The Browncoat Ball website hasn't been updated yet, but in the meantime, check

2 Gold Weekend Admission Passes to Creation's Salute to Serenity and Firefly

A fellow Browncoat who is unfortunately unable to attend this weekend’s
Serenity Salute convention hosted by Creation Entertainment has generously
donated her Gold Weekend front row tickets to California Browncoats to be
auctioned off for charity. That’s right, you heard it folks, FRONT ROW!
Specifically seats 21 & 22 in Row A.

Serenity and Firefly Salute is this weekend November 21st-22nd at the Marriott
LAX Hotel in Los Angeles and guests include Morena Baccarin, Jewel Staite, Adam
Baldwin, Alan Tudyk and more! The winning bidder will need to provide his/her
own transportation and lodging for the convention and will need to pick the
tickets up in person at the convention on Saturday morning.

The Gold Weekend tickets are “deluxe packages for those that want to enjoy the
entire weekend in the very best way.” Included are autographs, special events,
etc. Check out all the details on the Creation site. These passes originally
sold for $379 each, so bid early, often and high!

A huge thank you to the fan who is turning her loss into a wonderful gesture and
donation for KNTR!
