Description

Welcome to the South Texas Dx & Contest Club. Our group has come together due to our interest in amateur radio dx'ing and contesting. The club is based in San Antonio, Texas. We discuss dx'ing and radio contesting. We also participate in dx'ing & contests, individually & as a club. We would like to welcome ham operators who enjoy our common interest. Two shortcut url's to get you here are stxdxcc.org or w5rta.org.

If you are local to San Antonio, Texas and can participate in meetings & activities, we'd love to have you as a member of our club. After you get lined up as a member of our Yahoo Group, you can go to files, download a membership application, fill it out off line and email it as an attachment to Tom, AB5XZ, our club secretary (user name tpobrien_99),whom you will find listed in the member section.

Written correspondence, including QSL cards to W5RTA, should be mailed to:

STXDXCC
P. O. Box 591682

Re: IOTA
The really cool thing about this contest is that you get credits just by submitting your log. No QSLs required. :)

Re: Licensing class for Seniors
Don, Thanks for the offer. I plan to demonstrate repeater usage, handheld radios, Ohm's Law, use of phonetics, and maybe WWV reception. Nothing very fancy.
