Welcome to the St Louis Chat Cafe!


The purpose of the group is to allow members of ReUseIt St Louis a place to chat with each other since "chatting" is not allowed on ReUseIt St. Louis.

There are also things that cannot be posted on ReUseIt St. Louis such as tickets, coupons, redemption codes, free services, businesses, yard sales, etc that you are welcome to post here! All of those are acceptable here as long as they still follow the guidelines of free, legal, and appropriate to all ages ;-)

You can discuss topics related to the ReUseIt group, other recycling groups, ask questions about proper posting/list etiquette, etc.

We want to provide peripheral options for members which are not generally allowed on the regular board such as yard sales announcements, services, community event info, etc. However, our chat cafe will not become a sales group which parallels the recycle board.

We encourage local resourcefulness and involvement. Our cafe will serve as a forum where members can show community appreciation; ask for information on local services, businesses, charities & nonprofit organizations. Members will be allowed to post their businesses in the DATABASE for this purpose. Members should not sell on list, but may "hook up" off list. A vital part of ReUseIt is providing a connection to local community causes and organizations

The only other guideline is to play nice with each other.If you have an opinion, you're free to state it. If someone says something disrespectful they will be moderated until they can show us they can communicate nicely again. If they get moderated more than once, they could be removed from the group.
