The Southern Siskiyou Organic Gardeners ("SSOG-2") is a network of people in the Mt. Shasta Bioregion, learning to grow their own food by practicing organic and Permaculture methods.

This group has been formed to enable us to better share our experience, garden seeds, excess produce, resources and information, as well as a community of like minds, in the "mythical State of Jefferson".

The original South Siskiyou Organic Gardeners ("SSOG") group was set up by Beki Filipello in January 2009. By imparting her deep love and respect for Nature through her actions and teaching (along with Wendy Crist) in our Permaculture class, Beki motivated us to become good earth stewards by utilizing organic and truly sustainable methods in our gardening.

To honor Beki's memory, and to carry on, and build upon what Beki shared with us, The Southern Siskiyou Organic Gardeners group (SSOG-2) has emerged to provide a place where we can continue to expand our learning and knowledge of gardening in harmony with Mother Earth.
