Dear All,

You are welcome to watch Gurgan's Scud missile to IOC. This is really a PASSION
WEEK for MARUKANDAM BROTHERS.

27th March, 2010

To His Beatitude Paulose Mor Milithios, Catholicos Designate and Metropolitan.

I greet you in brotherly love and say:

Our Office brought to our attention the letter on March 27, 2010 of His Holiness
Mor Baselios Didymus I and therefore it seems to us important to respond to that
letter.

1. In the letter was mentioned that my consecration took place without the
knowledge of the Holy Synod of the Malankara Orthodox Church. We already have
the documents in our hands of the decision of the Holy Synod on August 07, 2007
when the Synod decided to consecrate a Metropolitan for Europe. Its not fair to
try to push the Synod decisions in a other light.

2. In the letter it is mentioned that I had to take the approval of your Synod
in order to be able to consecrate a bishop. But you know very well that the
consecration committee with the approval of the Holy Synod issued the Sustatikon
(Certificate of my consecration to Metropolitan and Primat) of my consecration
that I am able to consecrate Metropolitans without any approval of any Church
authority, even without the approval of the Malankara Orthodox Church. About
this decision it is also written, that His Holiness the Chatholicos gives his
blessings and that the Holy Synod approved it.

3. In the letter of His Holiness which I got on March 16, 2009 His Holiness with
the Holy Synod recognized to accept me as the Head of the Syrian Orthodox Church
of Europe. Since that date we are an independent Church and we are no more
depending on the Malankara Orthodox Church in anything.

4. In the letter of the 27th of March 2010 is mentioned that I wrote in a harsh
way to you. Nothing in that letter was harsh, it was full of love and
brotherhood. The copy of it is already sent to different Malankara offices.

Because of all these I want to let you clearly know that you and your Church
have no authority over our Syrian Orthodox Church of Europe, its Primat and its
Holy Synod. After we became independent and autocephalous its not possible for
you to rule over us. In brotherhood we want to encourage your grace to stop
every polemics against our Church. His Holiness the Catholicos has a great heart
and we all know about His deep spirituality. We visited His Holiness twice in
India and he showed us every time his love and joy but
unfortunately you tried after every visit to push things in a different light.
That is not the first time that you put words under the name of His Holiness. As
the Catholicos Designate you should never do things like that and especially you
never should use his health issues for own and personal reasons. During the last
two years I wrote to you so many letters in order to stay in contact with you
but you never answered any of our letters. How do you think it will be possible
to continue a relationship with your Church?

We don't have the time to argue about these things every time because we want to
use and we have to use our time for the salvation and the good of our faithful.
Instead fighting against each other we should work together. If your Church and
the Jacobite Church would work
together your own people would not suffer the pain which the both Church
hierarchies are giving to them. On March 3, 2010 I wrote to both Catholicoi an
official letter about the sad situation of our faithful in India and I got no
reaction. I wrote in that letter that I got uncountable requests from priests
and faithful to help them because of the Church problems. Why didn't you write
to me any response to that letter? It seems that every one has his one plan. But
our mission is to help those who ask us and to be holy tools in the Holy Hands
of our God and Lord Jesus Christ. We know what we do and we know what we have to
do in the future. If you really want to speak with us and discuss every thing
like brothers in our Lord
Jesus Christ you are very welcome and we are open for that. But our door is
closed for fights and hatreds.

In brotherly love

Primat and Metropolitan
Mor Severius Moses

CHRIST IS RISEN! TRULY HE IS RISEN!

"The flame of a fire always reaches upwards, even if you turn the lighted stick
upside down. And in the same way the heart of the proud man is incapable of
humility. The more you give him suitable advice, the more he elevates himself.
If you admonish or rebuke him he answers back aggressively, but if you praise or
encourage him he is shamefully puffed up."

CHRIST IS RISEN! TRULY HE IS RISEN!

"Value by its properties that greatest miracle of Jesus Christ, the Son of the
living God, as manifested in the communion, with faith, of His divine mysteries.
What is the miracle? The peace-giving and life-giving effect upon your heart,
slain by sin, which is so apparent after the uneasiness of heart and the
spiritual deadness that often precedes communion. Never consider it from habit
as anything ordinary or unimportant...By the most lively and heartfelt gratitude
for the holy life-giving Sacrament you will obtain life from the Lord and your
faith will increase more and more."

St. John of Kronstadt.

I love you for your faults these words spoken in sincerity may be the ultimate
blessing to someone whose happiness depends on you. This is how Christ loved us,
and loves us. If you doubt this, I may not be able to convince you, but perhaps
you would know how to say it better. I love you for your faults. I read this
sometime ago in a poem, but don't remember where. These words have stayed with
me ever since.

This morning a man I met for the first time told me that on Easter Sunday his an
American pastor said: When you married your spouse, you were married not to
his/her love, but to his/her faults. Whether this is a perfect quote or not, it
surely helps.

If we can remember the above and give thanks to God, it will be spring in the
home all our life. We will have an ever-widening friendship circle that may not
exclude any.

God bless,

Subject: Pope 'has no UK arrest immunity'
nithinpjohn
Send Email Send Email

Plans to have the Pope arrested when he visits the UK will succeed because he is
not a head of state, a solicitor has said.
Atheist authors Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens proposed the action
against the Pontiff for his handling of child abuse scandals in the Catholic
church.

The writers' solicitor Mark Stephens said applications will be made to courts in
the UK and the International Criminal Court for a warrant for Pope Benedict
XVI's arrest.

His likely defence would be be that he is immune from prosecution during his
visit to Britain in September, according to the lawyer.

Mr Stephens said: "The courts will examine the claim of immunity. I believe that
an English court would reject it. If the Pope was here on a state visit,
ordinarily a head of state would have sovereign immunity. What I believe is that
because he's not a sovereign, not a head of state, he's not entitled to the
defence."

He said that the Vatican was declared to be a state by Benito Mussolini, but
this had no standing in international law.

The Pope faced criticism after it emerged that he signed a letter which delayed
the punishment of a paedophile priest in the US for the "good of the universal
church".

Writing in 1985, the future Pontiff said that he needed more time to consider
the case.

Mr Stephens, who has represented abuse victims in the past said: "This will
require the Pope to deal with the way in which he appears to have prioritised
the reputation of the Catholic church over the welfare of children."

Potential charges against the Pope would be crimes against humanity.

nothing is to be less esteemed than rage and wrath. For everything, however
beneficial and necessary it may appear, should nonetheless be put aside in order
to avoid the disturbance of anger, and everything that may seem inimical should

In Our Midst

CHRIST IS RISEN!

Jesus Christ is in our midst as He was at the Upper Room. In this sermon, Fr
John Brian shows the resurrection teaching of Jesus Christ - risen in all His
humanity. In John 20:19-31, Christ gives commands to the Apostles. And Paul in
the Second Epistle to Timothy 2:1-13 brings clarity of Apostolic purpose.

"Be strong in the grace that is in Jesus Christ." Timothy 2:1

"Jesus came, stood in the midst of them, and said, Peace be with you." John
20:19

This sermon uses the readings and services appointed from the Malankara Syrian
lectionary and was given on Sunday, April 11, 2010 by Fr John Brian Paprock at
Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Mission Chapel, Madison, Wisconsin.

"Thanks be to God for His incomparable gifts." 2 Corinthians 9:15
