Subject: At last the true SC verdict is out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear All,

At last every one could see the TRUE verdict of SC in paper!!!!
Thank God, at least the "SERMONS of VICTORY" from IOC's Job(less? -
as per a prominent personality's observation in this forum)Thirumeni
and the "authoritative EXPLANATORY NOTE" from the defected Metran, who is famous
for his SC Judgement explanations in 1995 at Manarcad, will come to an end!!!!

What Adv. PJ Philip wrote earlier is absolutely correct, when we go through the
verdict in full. The defected metran's 'explanations' were only his 'dreams' or
the 'survial gymnastics' he is continuously doing in IOC camp!!! The 'police
protection case' appeal is DISMISSED, as clearly stated in the SC verdict, but
Job Thirumeni & defected metran were propogating that 'they didn't pressed for
it', meaning if they have insisted for it they could have got that sanctioned
without any problem!!!! Other prayers from them were also DISMISSED and/or
REJECTED, and yet they claim victory!!! All poor IOCeans were overjoyed by
seeing the 'survival gymnastic' explantions of defected metran, because they
thought what he is saying is completely TRUE, with their innocent belief that
their "Metran vesham" will not lie to his flocks!!! However, now everybody can
see that the 'day-dreamer's dream' is shattered and we will see another
'trappees act' from him within a short time. We can wait for it.

Unconfirmed reports indicates that the defected metran is making 'para' for some
of their 'Association Secretray candidates', who are favourable to his new 'HB'
boss, with the help of his 'Almaya vadi' coterie, who in turn themselves think
that they are the "King makers" in IOC!!

May God save that 'Association Church' from the clutches of this
opportunist Metrans.

Dear Robin,

It is always a pleasure to read your mails. I could very well feel
the fire of faith in you.I have many friends and co-workers who are
IOC members. Some of my relatives(mother's side) are members of IOC
churches. Majority of them have the same opinion that you have.

why CAN'T WE UNITE?

This question seems to be very Christian, polite and hailed by
everyone, including non-Christians. Interestingly enough, all of the
IOC his-storians are also asking this. The official wing of IOC never talks
about unity, but talks about `unconditional submission' from the Jacobite side.
In other words, IOC's vision is unity without compromise or unity for wealth. Do
you think that such a unity will last?

The question is :Will it make any sense for another unity move? My
opinion is that the unity talk by the IOC is a trap for the
Jacobites. IOC brains very well know that they can't win the whole
Jacobite Church through court cases. As Moolelachan rightly observed, if IOC won
the recent case, then there should not be any room for further court cases. But
the truth is that the hypocrite leaders of IOC will talk unity and move case
after cases from lower court to the supreme court.

Robin, we have experienced the unity earlier. You know what
happened later, right? Do you want the same to repeated? We all know
that it will be a beautiful thing if the two churches were united. It will be
most beautiful, if all the Christian churches in the world unite. Unfortunately,
the possibility is very minimal. Did you ever heard these words:
"ERANGIPPOKINEDA EEBHYANMAARE"? If not, this was the words from the Methran
Kashi's to the Bava Kashis just before the split. WE JACOBITES DON'T WANT TO
HEAR THIS AGAIN. We are not slaves of few Kottayam Achayans and crazy IOC
bishops. We believe and follow what our fore-fathers taught us. We have enough
will power and courage to protect our homes and churches. Our churches were not
built on the LATEX or BLADE or PAINKILI SAHITYAM money from Kottayam.

I still remember the PIDIYARI that my mother saved and gave to our
church. I have heard the stories of hardship and pain that my grandfather and
others suffered to construct our church. And that church is OURS, and OURS ONLY.
We don't allow any IOC methran/catholicos to take control of our churches.

Robin, why can't we think like this? Look at the Roman Catholic Church. Their
supreme head is the Pope, and they have many rites(reeths). Why can't we accept
the same style of having one Patriarch as the supreme head and two rites in
India-The Jacobites and IOC? If IOC people are serious about the unity, they
should think about this style. Thus we have the IOC Reeth accepting H.H.
Patriarch as their constitutional head and functioning pretty much as an
independent church. On the other side we have the Jacobite Church, functioning
under H.H. Patriarch (the supreme head) and catholicos (local head). Otherwise
we can gracefully become two churches and still praise the God as loving
brothers. ONNICHU NINNU PORADICHU PAATHAALATHIL POKUNNATHINEKKAL ETHRAYO
NALLATHANU RANDAYI NINNU SWARGATHIL POKUNNATHU?

CHRIST IS RISEN! TRULY HE IS RISEN!

"For by His own power He is united wholly with each and all, and orders all
things without stint, so that no one could have called it out of place for Him
to speak, and make known Himself and His Father, by means of sun, if He so
willed, or moon, or heaven, or earth, or waters, or fire; inasmuch as He holds
in one and all things at once, and is in fact not only in all, but also in the
part in question, and there invisibly manifests Himself. In like manner, it
cannot be absurd if, ordering as He does the whole, and giving life to all
things, and having willed to make Himself known through men, He has used as His
instrument a human body to manifest the truth and knowledge of the Father. For
humanity, too, is an actual part of the whole."

Greetings to All

Thanks to Mr. Thomas Chacko of ICON for your reply. Who is naughty
or cunning can be judged if you go back to my reply and read the
very next sentence of that post. Please explain and correct me the
context I used or interpretation I made, if it was a wrong context.
Then I will be more than happy to accept my mistake. A mere hue and
cry saying I am wrong and whatever you argue is right is not the way
to a discussion or debate goes. Bible is not just a story book but a
holy book where we can find answer to everything if you got the will
to correlate. I was even surprised by the resignation of George
Achen from the discussion promising his prayers.

Even if you like it or not for the division, it is happening and the
court judgments are slowly but steadily pointing in that direction
as seen from the recent judgment posted by Adv P J Philiph. If the
Supreme Court is saying as per para 2(i) – "The rights of the parish
churches was not determined by the supreme court in the 1995
decision. Thus, it cannot be …." – For God's sake don't say I am
using a wrong context. My only argument is the division is the BEST
solution and if both factions settle it amicably the earliest in a
Christian way it will be respected by all. If not -more street
fights, closing of churches.. etc will continue and you can be happy
that "we will settle only for the RIGHT solution".

Again I repeat that I am neither interested nor good enough to
discuss or question any actions of any of the holy fathers of either
side being followed and respected by many and hence please excuse me
from that. Finally let me share with you all one good moment I
personally heard from a group of faithful from US (St. Stephens
Orthodox Church – Houston, if I am not mistaken) who visited the
Holy land along with their vicar only a month ago. How warmly they
were received by the Bishop of Syrian Orthodox Church of St. Mark's
Monastery in Jerusalem. Even the Bishop had wholeheartedly allowed
them to conduct a Holy Qurbana, but was not carried out by the
narrow-mindedness of some in the visiting group. Does any of the one
who preach of the Unity of both factions has the courage to allow or
welcome some from the opposite faction. It was not long back the
Partriach by himself visited malankara and what was the reaction by
those who preach Unity. So please accept the fact that the Gap
between the factions is widening and there is no Love or Trust which
are the basic things required for any Unity. May God bless us all.

Christoppara Mission of Salem Voice Ministries Attacked

Karwar (India), SVM News , May 1, 2007: Christoppara Colony, a mission field of
the Salem Voice Ministries (login the following link for the details with
pictures: http://salemvoice.org/christoppara.html) attacked on 20th of April.

A group of young activists of Hindu RSS, Bajrangdal organisations from outside
village entered into the prayer shed by shouting slogans while women, children
and aged men were holding a prayer service on Friday.

The attackers tied up the elder of the mission Anthony Dasa who was leading the
prayer meeting. And asked the believers to stop singing Christian songs and
Christian prayers.

Then they started taking class about Hinduism. They did not allow the believers
to go out from the shed, but kept stand surrounding them. They advised everyone
to join with them to wipe out Christianity.

But one of the woman who happenly came late for the prayer meeting seen this
incident and she informed everyone in the colonyand their work fields.
Immediately more than hundred men gathered together against the attackers. When
attackers saw the colony people coming with the weapons and stones, they left
taking Hinduism class and ran away from the Christoppara Colony and escaped.

Christoppara Colony is situated on a rock in a jungle at the border of two
states. More than 350 people consisting of approximately 70 families live in
this colony. "Christoppara" means 'The Rock of Christ'. Previously it was having
some other name. The believers themselves changed the name as Christoppara.

People of the Christoppara mission are very poor. They earn daily for their
life. Usually they are jobless and without income for more than 15 days of a
month. Most are illiterate. The way of living is not hygenic. There is no
electricity, no telephone and not even to drink purified water. They drink from
a country well. Tin bottle lamps and lanterns with kerosine oil using as their
lamps.

There was not a single believer of Jesus Christ within 20 miles of the colony.
Salem Voice Ministries reached that interior remote area about eight years ago.
They started Bible class as well as adult education. All of them were interested
and attended the classes.

They had no problem from the anti christians, because everybody turn to Christ
in that colony.

But recently RSS, Bajrangdal groups influenced two unemployed youth from the
Colony and by their support they entered the colony to wipe out Christioanity.

The governing board members of the Salem Voice Ministries immediately visited
Christoppara colony, conducted a continuous fasting and prayer service for the
entire colony.

Eight member team of the SVM governing board travelled 20 hours by train; then
six hours by bus; then four hours by a Bullack Cart; and after four miles by
walk to reach Christoppara colony. (SVM doesn't have a vehicle to travel as a
team. Please pray that our Lord may provide at least an eight seated vehicle for
Salem Voice Ministries to travel to the mission fields).

They did not even take a rest, but gave councilling to the families and
conducted three days fasting prayer. And again they took about 36 hours to reach
back to the SVM headquarters as they gone up to the mission.

By God's grace, the backslided youths repented before God and asked pardon to
the total community of the Christoppara mission and turned back to the Christian
spiritual services of the mission.

"We must go over the Scriptures not in a chance way or carelessly, but with all
exactness, that we be not entangled. Since even now in this place one might with
how of reason question, how, when they had asserted, 'This man is not of God,
because he keepeth not the Sabbath,' they now say to the man, 'What sayest thou
of him, that he hath opened thine eyes?' and not, 'What sayest thou of him, that
he hath broken the Sabbath?' but put now that which was the ground of the
defense, not that of the accusation. What then have we to reply? That these (who

separated themselves from them, who also said, 'A man that is a sinner cannot do
such miracles.'"

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I just wanted to know if there is any new information regarding the visit of Our
Holy Father, Patriarch Bava to the Family Conference in Dallas.

On a seperate message, I just wanted to thank Junas, Paul, and Saju and all
others for their kind words and taking the time to respond to my ideas of Peace
in the Malankara Church. I guess all we can do is pray that one day our Church
will return to its former glory by praying to God that people will understand
the true hertiage and history of the Syriac Church in India. It is only a few
extremetist that are prevnting peace. Like Saju had said the majority of people
from both factions want to be part of the Syriac Church and will die believing
faithfully the Holy Father as the Supreme Head of the Church.

Dear Shemmashan,

Shlomo Amokh,

Since I am residing outside Kerala for over a dozen years, certainly I do not
know much about this mission's activities in the homeland and your information
is more authentic and correct. Thank you for updating me of these events. Being
a member of this forum I had gone through the previous postings regarding the
mission activities and was aware of last year's pamphlet distribution etc. When
brother Saji Varghese fom Indore, the Western Zonal Secretary of this mission
visited our City we had apprehensions and I did ask him of such activities
against the faith of the church. He only have given such a statement that the
person who was behind such activities is no longer with the mission and they are
very strict on such issues.

What is making me upset is the cold silence of our shepherds on this issue. Why
H.G Philaxinos is not quitting the patronship of such an organisation?. Why the
committe of three bishops is not publishing the fact findings?. Why our Bava
thirumeni who himself is a renowned gospel preacher and valiant defender of true
faith is not taking any action against the activites of this mission?. Why our
well known preists like Fr. Mathews Chalappuram and Fr.John Puthooran are still
holding key posts of this mission? Isn't it the duty of our moderatores to
forward these dialogues on this forum to the church leaders?.

Here in our city, the mission's director announced that the collections will go
for the activities in Punjab. We had a discussion on their mission centers in
Bihar. I strongly oppose their move to build centers where we have our churches
and conduct parallel VBS etc. rather they should concentrate on the field work
in different parts of the country. One basic thing which we should understand
is that a major section of our clergy and leaders are not grown spiritually and
are not in favour of gospel preachings. The common lay man is thirsting for
spiritual words which they are not getting from the sunday holy mass only and
this where all the charisamtic teams and othre missions are cashing in.

Without proper guidance and classes of the learned, common laity cannot
understand the biblical verses or the foundations of our faith. I was a sunday
school teacher in my home parish and still teaches in my current parish here in
Baroda. I have the memories of wise speeches and classes of priests and malpans
from the last generation and it helps me while explaining our faith to the
younger generation. We need dedicated and spiritually grown clergy to lead the
faithful and if not we should pick up good laymen and train for this work and
they should be encouraged in the gospel mission in our parishes. Recently the
family units are running in almost all the parishes but the concerned people
should concentrate more on theological discussions and classes than regular tea
parties. We should admit that recently only we have started biblical courses for
the laymen but as every body knows field work is essential.

I sincerely pray that our seminarians will catch the right message and act
accordingly.

With prayers for our church
In his love,

Johnson

last year after the Passion week at the church which was countered
by my dear Malpono Dr. C. A. Ninan. This year during the passion
week the same pamphlet was sent by post to all members of the church
and other prominent personalities in Malankara including priests.
The name of the person and address was printed in the pamphlet which
was deleted as per my advice in the internet available version. I
know the person behind this and he is a member and still an active
person in St Pauls. He is very close to Mr. Mathai Valayil and is the
key organiser of St Pauls convention in Tvm. He along with other few
members of St Pauls mission didnt turn up for passion week this year
at our church in any of the days. When I enquired, I heard that St
Pauls conducted a parallel prayer meeting at a place outside the
church in Tvm on all days including Pesaha, Good Friday and Easter.

Dear Saji,

Read your views posted on SOCM.

As regards your question of "Aaradhana Kramam" why do you think we don't have.
Just as how we possess the Malayalam of our Divine Liturgy if needed it can also
be made available in any language . If one feels to work as a missionary
obviously he can do it with sincere will. And If one's faith is firm there is
no question of diverting his mind to protestant communities.

More over do you think yourself that a malayalee should celebrate the Holy Mass
in traditional Malayalee costumes. If you go into the details of the Holy
Liturgy it takes indepth study to comment on.

It is a shame that such a posting with the above-referenced title was released,
especially during the post-Resurrection days. Satan is definitely working
overtime. We may all have disagreements and disputes, but our Lord has asked us
to "turn the other cheek" and he does not specify how many times to keep doing
this. True Christians look to build up rather than tear down, despite the
intention or motive. If the clergy cannot be good role models and use
respectful language, then the laity too will follow suit and all will be lost.
Let us be respectful and tolerant even though situations dictate otherwise. We
do not need additional wars of words, but rather unity in Christian love.

Pray for it and it will happen.

Praying for peace, reconcilation, and unity,

Jeff Hecht

YOU are surfing the net, and stop at a sports site you regularly
visit to read the latest headlines. You are always careful to avoid
sites that appear suspect, so you feel safe online. Unbeknownst to
you, though, and to the innocent owner of the website, a piece of
malicious code has been added to the page you are viewing. This
uploads software onto your computer via your browser, turning it into
a "zombie" PC under the remote control of a malicious user.
While installing firewalls and antivirus software on your computer
may keep it safe from conventional threats such as worms and viruses,
these security tools do not inspect data downloaded through browsers -
a loophole that attackers can exploit. "The firewall is dead," says
Google security specialist Niels Provos.
As a result of this loophole, PCs are increasingly becoming infected
with "bot" software, creating networks of zombie computers, or
botnets. Bots are "the Swiss army knives of the underground economy",
because they are so versatile, says Nick Ianelli, an internet
security analyst at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania. Bots first establish a link to a remote "botmaster"
before probing your computer for email addresses and personal data,
and even logging your keystrokes. Most zombies are used to churn out
huge amounts of spam email, while some target business websites with
so-called "denial of service" attacks.
"Their versatility makes bots the Swiss army knives of the
underground economy"Botnets are not new, but the methods they use to
infect computers are changing. Until recently, a bot program tended
to arrive as an attachment with spam email, or carried by a computer
worm. As users have grown wary of email attachments and installed
firewalls and anti-virus software, however, the bad guys have shifted
their attentions to websites in a bid to find more victims. "We still
see a tremendous amount of bot propagation via email, but the web has
overtaken it in the past year," says Pat Peterson of security firm
Ironport in San Bruno, California.
The sleazy side of the web has long been a place where people have
been easily duped into downloading malicious programs for themselves.
Lured to a site by spam and then promised pirated software or
pornography, for example, visitors click on a link only to download a
bot.
Now, though, even an ordinary website can be risky. At a meeting on
botnets held last month in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Provos warned
that many web users are becoming the victims of "drive-by" downloads
of bots from innocent websites corrupted to exploit browser
vulnerabilities. As firewalls allow free passage to code or programs
downloaded through the browser, the bot is able to install itself on
the PC. Anti-virus software kicks in at this point, but some bots
avoid detection by immediately disabling it. Once a computer has
become infected with the malicious software, the zombie periodically
connects to a web server controlled by the botmaster to receive
instructions and download more software.
To determine the scale of the problem, Provos's group at Google
analysed several billion web pages and selected 4.5 million
suspicious pages for more detailed study. To test for malicious
software, or malware, they loaded a program designed to simulate a
computer with a vulnerable version of Internet Explorer and monitored
what happened. They found around 450,000 web pages that launched
drive-by downloads of malicious programs. Another 700,000 pages
launched downloads of suspicious software. More than two-thirds of
the malicious programs identified were those that infected computers
with bot software or programs that collected data on banking
transactions and emailed it to a temporary email account.
Ordinary users would not know that their computer had been hit by a
drive-by download unless their browser started crashing or they
suddenly started being hit with pop-up advertisements, Provos says.
Nor would website owners spot that their pages had been corrupted, as
such malware is typically hidden, for example, by adding code to the
JavaScript program used to create the site. The malware can also be
designed to hide from anyone trying to find it; Provos encountered
websites that checked the IP address of all visitors and only
installed malware on a user's first visit.
Botnets themselves are also evolving. Most existing bots are
vulnerable because they receive their instructions via an internet
relay chat (IRC) server, a simple communication system. This gives
security professionals a hope of disabling them by trapping one
zombie using a "honeypot" designed to mimic a vulnerable computer.
They can then identify the IRC address of the computer's botmaster
when it tries to communicate, says Julian Grizzard, a computer
scientist at Johns Hopkins University in Laurel, Maryland. Traffic to
the botmaster could then be blocked, effectively cutting off the
botnet's head.
Now, however, malicious users are beginning to explore peer-to-peer
botnets, modelled on file-sharing networks such as Gnutella, as they
are harder to disable. The first P2P bots appeared in 2004, and they
are now beginning to increase in sophistication, says Grizzard.
Botmasters distribute new bots programmed to establish contact with
one of a group of operating zombies. Once contact is made, the P2P
network relays information to the botmaster, who can link to the
network through any zombie.
In this way, even if security professionals trap a bot, they would
have no way of identifying the botmaster. However, Grizzard is not
without hope that even these advanced botnets could ultimately be
stopped. "The major disadvantage of P2P is that it is typically very
chatty," he says. This increased traffic could be detected from
outside the host machine and give away the existence of the botnet,
he says.
Until botnets can be stopped, though, users should try to lessen
their computer's chances of becoming infected as they surf the web by
keeping browsers updated with the latest software patches, says Cliff
Zou of the University of Central Florida in Orlando. This helps
browsers avoid vulnerabilities that can be exploited by malware.
Surfers should also take special care not to be duped by tricks such
as links embedded in spam emails or offers of free software, and pay
attention to warnings displayed alongside search engine links.
Ultimately what is needed is a new type of firewall that inspects the
content of programs downloaded through the browser, says Zou. This
should stop any nasties lurking in websites gaining a free pass to
infect your computer.

From issue 2602 of New Scientist magazine, 05 May 2007, page 28-29
Beat zombies at their own game
Botnets exploit the fact that many computers working together are far
better than a single machine at launching denial of service attacks
and sending spam. Now the good guys are fighting back with a system
that uses multiple online computers to fight rather than spread
malicious software.

Dubbed "herd computing", the application behaves like a benevolent
botnet. Like its malicious counterpart, herd PCs contain a program
that reports back to a central computer. But unlike the zombie PCs in
a botnet, whose reports are met by a command to launch spam or spread
a virus, members of the herd send back details on the health of their
computers, alongside a list of all the software they are running.

This can be used to monitor the effect of downloaded software on the
performance of the computer. This information can then be presented
to any computer in the herd that attempts to download the same code,
warning them in advance.

"It is a way of understanding computing as an act that is not done in
isolation," says Jonathan Zittrain, a researcher at Harvard Law
School's Berkman Center for Internet and Society and the Oxford
Internet Institute, part of the University of Oxford. "That is the
way botnets gained their power and it would be crazy for us not to
harness that power," he says.

The main use for herd computing will be in combating spyware. This
software causes unwanted pop-up advertisements, hogs processing
cycles and memory, and spies on a web-user's actions. It often
arrives bundled with something useful such as a screensaver or chat
application, which makes it difficult for existing anti-virus
software to remove it. "Viruses are mean, evil programs, but spyware
is a little weird," says Nathan Good, a spyware researcher at the
University of California at Berkeley. "In some cases it's consensual."

Herd computing could deal with this grey area by flagging the likely
consequences of a piece of software before it is downloaded, and then
leaving it up to the user to decide whether to install it.

All members of the herd would send in regular updates of their vital
signs, including the number of pop-ups they experience, the speed of
their processor and the number of crashes and restarts, alongside
details of the software they are running. The central computer would
collate this information to determine the effect of different pieces
of software on computers.

Then, when one of the computers in the herd tried to download
software, a message would appear informing the user of what happened
to other PCs that downloaded the same program. With this information,
users can decide whether or not to download it. "It's a way of
allowing people to make better choices," says Good. Zittrain likens
the concept to "giving the internet a nervous system".

Dear All,

Praise the LORD.

It is very interesting to bring to all my Fellow Jacobites an interesting
incident very recently happened in my life. It is not a story, a real life
situation, which I could witness last week. The narration is like a story, but a
real-life incident.

A boy from the Orthodox Church and a girl from Jacobite Church - met through
net, and both were very much closer through the electronic media, and finally
decided to tie the knot with their parents permission. Both their families were
informed of their wish, and got a gree signal orally to their respective wards.
Their parents never contacted each other. Finally the girls parents decided to
break the silence, and requested me also to be with them while they talk to the
boy's parents, and hence I got this chance to overheard their conversation.
After lots of pleasantries, the girl father told to the boys father for a
meeting at a mutually convenient time, and it was mutually agreed upon. And then
the respective mothers came into the line. Finally the boy's mother started
giving details about her parents, brothers, sisters, etc. During this time I
could hear that - one of her (boy's mother) sister is settled in H'bad, and her
husband is a Chor-Episcopa in our Church, emphasize given that Jacobite. Since I
know, it is not Jacobite, but only Orthodox, I requested the girl's mother
whether it is Jacobite or Orthodox. Then it was cleared that it is Orthodox, not
Jacobite.

Since then I wonder the propaganda and tall claim of the IOC hasn't reached to
the grass root. Still the poor layman proclaim themselves as JACOBITES, not as
Orthodox. Even after a hundred year's of their insisent ground work, the IOC did
not find success in eliminating the feeling of JACOBITE from the minds of the
poor Malankarites, who happened to be in their fold. They could only make a
smoke-screen of Orthodoxism of Indian Style just by claiming on paper that they
are INDIAN ORTHODOX an independent church, but indebted to the Jacobite Syrian
Church. Recently I have the opportunity to go through one of their Malankara
Sabhadeepam, wherein in they published the Mavelikara Padiyola, the original
document written in the Palliyogam held in Mavelikkara in early part of 19th
century, proclaiming that we are the followers of the Jacobite Syrian Church,
headquartered in Antioch, and reigned by the HH Patriarch. Barring a few
minority leaders in every Orthodox Church, still the layman uphold the rich
Jacobite Syrian heritage. In another article published in Almayavedi it was
written that one of their candidate who ran for the Church Secretary's position
garlanded HH Patriarch while HH was given a rousing welcom at Cochin recently,
and hence he is likely to be lost in the run. Why an IOC stalwart went to such
an extent to garland HH? What prompted him to do that? No explanation is
required for such behaviour of an innocent Syrian Christian. Just a membership
in an IO Church never ever prevent a faithful in giving respect to HH, the
Supreme Head of the Universal Syrian Church.

What else we need? In the inner hearts of the Malankarites, the reverence for HH
Patriarch, the feeling of a Jacobite Christian are still alive. We may or may
not succeed in convincing the highest courts, but true faith still rule the
hearts of Malankarites. Let us all rejoice now with the feeling that the hearts
are ruled by the TRUTH AND GUIDED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT , not by MANMADE rules.

With prayers,

Dear All

In a free democratic secular country, each citizen has the freedom to practise
his own religion if he wants and choose a spiritual authority if he thinks
so,this constitutional freedom of citizen of India cannot be challenged by
anyone in kottayam. If he challenges ,ultimately he will fail.

When a group of Indian citizens at their free will decide to practise the faith
of Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch and choose HH.Patriarch of Antioch as their
spiritual head, some false prophets through coupe detat ,decides that all
jacobite citizens should accept him in Kottayam as head by force or free
will, will never work. The public will decide this in any civilization. In
spiritual world wise public looks only qualities like obedience to oath he has
taken, respect for Guru ,sacrificial mentality, clergy's relationship with Jesus
Christ/God in day to day activities, his day life and night life, his greed for
money, wise public observes all this qualities of spiritual man whether he is
christian or Hindu/Muslim.The wise public will believe in God first and Church
second irrespective of religion. In all this qualities Kottayam guys were big
failure.

A unity with them will spoil entire bishops, its better we send some bishops to
heaven rather than sending all to hell.

This is the main issue in church, the fictitious theory of St.Thomas Throne,
theory that foreigner is head of church, all are created by a gang of self
claimed bishops with unchristian thinking to grab power by fooling their people
who do not know their own history or do not have unfortunately a good history of
themselves and dance to tune of unchristian bishops, believing in Church more
than God as Sir.Winston Churchill says.

These self declared bishops who want to grab by force all Jacobites and declare
that court is the only mediator is a shame to entire christians.

The reason they oppose partition of church is they are parasites they grew
drinking Jacobite blood, they acquired their properties and wealth by false cases
and cheating the jacobites,so a complete partition is unthinkable to them as
they are bothered about wealth generation in the name of unity rather than
Christ.

Peace with such guys are not possible as both salt water and fresh water cannot
flow through same lake. But it also the duty of Jacobites to see this bishops do
not consider Jacobites as weak community and take the church feud to streets to
shame of entire christians, burning public vehicles in trivandrum etc.Jacobites
should have upper hand and control these guys as its our duty to try to preserve
Christ's teaching as far as possible.

For this Jacobites should get rid of traitors among them and take bold step of
boycotting Manorama entirely in masses, make Manorama write about the dirty ways
of their own bishops, manorama will obey if Jacobites want because even now main
subcribers of Manorama are Jacobites,if any church feud cross the limit, bringing
shame to jacobites,other christians,Indian public,Jacobite should immediately
blow Manorama and control the situation.Jacobites can control the law and order
for benefit of law abiding indian public if methrankashi resort to cheap
pollitical street war by open boycott of Manorama and they Jacobite bishops
should do it ,if once again Methrankashi brings inconvenience to Indian public
in any way.

Jacobites have won 65yrs of Portuguese persecution,Tipu's attack,British
Subversion , all in India but was taking a lenient approach to Methrankashi self
declared bishops as they were from our family, but should not show any more
concession.

Under no circumstances Jacobite-Methran feud should cross limit and end up in
street fight bring inconvenience to indian Public and shame to Christ.Jacobite
bishops should have an emergency plan with them to control situation, any time if
methrankashi resort to Violence, cos this will bring shame to Jacobites also.

Also Jacobites should reiterate that cases like this forseen by Christ centuries
before is shame to Christ ,christians and church offering cannot be given to
lawyers for court cases as it is contrarty to Christ's teaching.Jacobites must
form massive anti-case campaign to make Indian public understand in simple what
is this case about and what simple and practical solution we provide,so that
ignorant indian public see who is right and wrong and may not blame us and
Christ.

Indian Judicial theory is even if 1000 people are convicted guilty, there should
not be 1 innocent among them, methrankashi was exploiting Indian laws
,methrankashi themselves know that case will never end and they will not win but
they cannot withdraw case as they fear their own public whom they have misfed
information. In history this is how people grab power,as it said plots are
necessary to raise kingdoms, same theory they apply to make their kingdom from
Jacobite Kingdom, that the easy way rather than create a new church, which they
can never ever achieve.

National-Level Fact Finding Team Visits Jaipur to Investigate
Televised Attack on Christian Ministry

Fact Finding Team fears that Gujarat like situation might prevail in
the BJP rule State of Rajasthan

New Delhi, May 4, 2007 (All India Christian Council)

A National Level Fact Finding Team of several human rights organizations visited
Pastor Walter Massey yesterday. An assault on Massey by 20-25 VHP activists was
recorded by TV cameras on 29 April 2007 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and broadcast
around India. The Fact Finding Team, organized by the All India Christian
Council (aicc) and Satbhav Morch (Brotherhood Front) Jaipur, appealed to the
Rajasthan Government to bring swift justice to the culprits and ensure the
safety and protection of Christian minorities.

The Fact Finding Team consisted of: Dr. John Dayal, Member of National
Integration Council, General Secretary of the All India Christian Council and
President of the All India Catholic Union; Dr. Abraham Mathai, Vice Chairman of
Maharashtra Minority Commission and Genera Secretary of Maharashtra aicc; Ms.
Teesta Setelvad, General Secretary of Citizens for Justice and Peace; Ms. Kavita
Srivastava, General Secretary of the Rajasthan PUCL; Rev. Madhu Chandra,
Regional Secretary of aicc; Sister Mary Scaria, Supreme Court lawyer; Mrs.
Tehmina Arora, General Secretary of the Christian Legal Association (CLA);
Lanshinglui Rongmei, Joint Secretary of CLA; Manoj George of CLA. Also, Sawai
Singh of the Sadbhavana Manch and Engineer Mohammed Saleem of the
Jamaat-e-Islami Hind met Pastor Walter Massey and his family.

The five people arrested so far have appeared before Jaipur District Magistrate
on April 4 and their plea for bail was rejected. The Fact Finding Team witnessed
the reaction of pro-Sangh Parivar advocates to police and judges in the hearing.

Ms. Setelvad said, "If the Hindutva forces do on the street in the same manner
they acted in the court, that is great concern for the legal system in the
state."

The Fact Finding Team met Superintendent of Police Mr. Anil Panilwal and
collected the latest information on the case. The First Information Report
registered against the culprits was weak initially, but sections 153A, 153B, 295
and 505 of the Indian Panel Code were added after pressure from public and human
rights groups.

Director General of Police Mr. A. S. Gill admitted to the Fact Finding Team that
there are reports of attacks on Christians in the state. He assured the team
that steps have been taken to arrest all the culprits behind the attack.

At a press conference co-sponsored by the All India Christian Council and the
Brotherhood Front of Rajasthan at Jaipur, Ms. Setelvad, Dr. Dayal, Dr. Mathai
and Sister Scaria told the media that Pastor Walter Massey, his wife Joyce, and
9 year old daughter are going through suffering and trauma from the attack.

Dr. Dayal said, "The pattern of violence indicates a design, and the attacks on
Christians are never in the form of communal clashes because they are targeted
against a micro minority in the state. There is enough evidence available in
many places for the police to take suo motu action against the VHP, Bajrang Dal
and Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad but no action is taken."

While condemning the communal violence of Hindutva forces, Ms. Setelvad said,
"We are disappointed that the Chief Minister or any senior Minister did not
visit the victim's family nor condemn the attack."

Dr. Mathai said, "I condemn the Rajasthan Minority Commission for failing to
ensure safety and protection of Christians in the state.I believe Christian
members should be listed under the coverage of SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities
Act, 1989 and 1995."

At a public meeting organized by Satbhav Morch, the group resolved along with
the All India Christian Council to take the following steps:

An ultimatum will be submitted to the BJP-ruled Rajasthan Government to arrest
all the accused culprits, including Mr. Virendra Singh Ravana and two others
whose identity has been clearly identified by police forces, at latest by
Sunday. If this doesn't happen a larger agitation will be launched with the
participation of all secular minded people and civil society groups.

The hate case in the beating of Pastor Massey must be followed up vigorously in
court and any conspiracy uncovered.

A "Save Rajasthan from the Rise of Fascism" rally will be launched in national
capital of Delhi in the near future.

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje must condemn the incident and ensure the safety
of all sections of society including minority communities.

Medical examination of Pastor Walter Massey, his wife, and 9 year old daughter
must be provided to assess how they are suffering trauma
from the Sunday attack.

Compensation for the pastor and his family as victims of communal violence must
be given in same way that Gujarat, Kashmir, Punjab and Delhi has done.

A major pattern of anti-Christian violence in Rajasthan districts has been
admitted by the Government but no police action is being taken. Christian
members should be covered by Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention
of Atrocities) Act 1989, Rules 1995.

There were over 80 cases of anti-Christian violence last year. More violence
could spring up once the Rajasthan Freedom of Religion Bill 2006 becomes law.
Therefore Satbhav Morch and the All India Christian Council appeal to the
Rajasthan Governor not sign the bill.

The All India Christian Council (www.aiccindia.org), birthed in 1998, exists to
protect and serve the Christian community, minorities, and the oppressed castes.
The aicc is a coalition of thousands of Indian denominations, organizations, and
lay leaders.

Reading: From the Gospel according to St. Luke 24: 13-35

Dear and Respected Brethren,

In today’s reading we study about our Lord’s appearance to the two Apostles who
went to Emmaus. Though the purpose of their trip to the place, which is about
threescore furlongs away from Jerusalem, is not given, a brief description about
their talk on their way to the destination is given in the Gospel. As mentioned
in verse 14, they talked together of all things which had happened. By the time
our Lord came near to them and walked with them. This makes us sure and certain
that our Lord will not leave us also alone. He will be with us always, whenever
and wherever we might move. His intention is to grant us comfort, peace and
happiness and nothing else. But unfortunately as their eyes were held from the
view, they could not notice who was walking with them. (Read St. John 20:14 and
21:4)

In verse 21 we read the testimony of the two disciples who traveled to Emmaus.
They say, “We trusted that he should have redeemed Israel.” We must search
ourselves in our minds to see what our trust about Lord Jesus is. Self-centered
individuals will definitely forget the truth that Lord Jesus is our Redeemer and
Savior. We could easily confess our faith in our Savior and Redeemer, when we
would pray the Trisagion. When we would recite ‘Holy art thou o God, Holy art
thou Almighty, Holy art thou immortal, we could say in mind that Lord you are my
Redeemer. Kindly have mercy upon me. We find a
similar type of question as the one asked by the disciples, in Acts of the
Apostles 1:6, where they ask “Lord will thou at this time restore again the
kingdom to Israel.” From this question we can learn three things.

1) They had staunch faith that Lord God initially installed the Kingdom of
Israel.
2) Lord Jesus had the right to re-install the kingdom of Israel.
3) They had thorough knowledge of the prophecies in Isaiah 1:26, Daniel 7:27
and Amos 9: 11.

In verse 27 we hear about our Lord’s explanations about the prophecies about Him
by Moses in Genesis 3:15, 22:18, 26:4, 49:10, Numbers 21:9 and Deuteronomy 18:
15 and by many others in Psalms 16:9, Psalms 22, Psalms 132:11, Isaiah 7:14,
9:6, 40:10, 50:6, 53, Jeremiah 23:5, 33:14, Ezekiel 34:23, 37:25, Daniel 9:24,
Micah 7:20, Malachi 3:1, and Malachi 4:2.

Let us meditate on verse 30. “And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them,
he took bread, and blessed it, and broke and gave them.” It was the celebration
of the Holy Eucharist. See the next sentence of today’s reading. “And their eyes
were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight”. St. Luke is
telling us that as soon as the disciples accepted the Holy Eucharist, their eyes
were opened. And they realized who he was. Since long we are partaking the Holy
Eucharist. Were we able to identify our Lord so far? Are we still able to
ascertain Lord Jesus as our Savior? Why our eyes are still closed or why we
cannot see our Lord Jesus as the disciples
saw Him? We all know the answers. We are sure about it. But still the pride of
our minds does not allow us to look for the remedy. During the Holy Eucharist,
we listen to the exhortation of the celebrant “Now our minds and thoughts must
be on the right hand side of God the Father, where our Lord Jesus is seated”
(…ee Samayathu nammude Bhodhangalum vichaarangalum Pithaavaam daivathinte
valathu Bhagathu Missiha Thampuran irikkunna Mahonnathangalil aayirikkanam”, we
all utter the prescribed reply to it. And ignore what we spoke immediately. If
we continue the same sort of spiritual exercise, our eyes would remain closed
forever. We cannot dream of seeing our Lord if we do not change the way in which
we handle the spiritual matters.

In verse 33 we read that those two disciples rushed back to Jerusalem and they
went to the Apostles. If we were in their place, how we would have responded. It
is needless to say that we would have convened a press conference and the secret
would have been disclosed as our own achievement. There were some other faithful
also with the eleven Apostles. They said, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has
appeared to Simon”. They were exchanging the happy news with the less fortunate
to witness the audience of the Lord. As long as we celebrate Easter, it is our
duty to convey the message of Easter to the ones who seldom know it. We must
tell such people that our Lord is risen indeed.

In verse 47 we find our Lord authorizing the Apostles to convey the
exhortation for repentance and the message of the remission of sins among all
nations. God Almighty allowed our forefathers as well as us to remain as a
Church in India from the very first days of Christianity. Now let us make sure
ourselves, how much we were active in obeying our Lord’s instructions and
orders. Let our Church grant prime importance to obey our Lord and to convey the
news of remission of sins.

May God bless us all and make use of us for His wise plans and schemes.

Dear All,

A doctor in an IOC forum was crying that the people in IOC is not getting enough
enlightenment annointment of the Holy Spirit, and he was trying to emphasise
that there are occasions in "their liturgy" that provoke the Holy Spirit to
enlighten the people who attend it. With great sorrow he proclaimed that the
IOC-ians believe that only with a charismatic type of prayer they may get the
intervention of the Holy Spirit, and the people are moving/attracted towards
charismatics movements..

I think for the last 5 or 6 decades, the IOC clergy were concentrating more on
educating their people with wrong dogmas and history, and sidelined the
beautiful liturgy with a sole aim of promoting the Catholicate. The beautiful
hymns that raise the faithfuls mind to the highest, and the ordinary human can
become part of scores of angels that praise the LORD, were abandoned or
sidelined. The constant electoral processes for making somebody a metropolitan,
elevating another to the post of Catholicose and Malankara Metropolitan through
ballots etc. diverted the attention of the ordinary people, and all these
activities prevented the Holy Spirit's intervention in the Church affairs, and
thus made the church affairs fully worldly. Of course all these left the people
to believe in corporate style of running the Holy Church, and they felt it very
much that by alienating from the Mother Church made their congregations into a
corporate culture. They realized that by making highest domes and beautiful
buildings will not allow the intervention of Holy Spirit in the running of the
Churches, nor by suffixing and affixing with decorative titles will not make
their Catholicose Holy, and these lead the masses to believe that their thirst
for anointment of the Holy Spirit is not available with the so called church.
Majority are loosing their heart, and had become either silent, or to look for
some other means of solace.

I now feel that as part of the Indianization of their Church, their theologians
should look for other means. As a resident of North India for the last 3
decades, I noticed that the people here chant in way-side temples "Jai Siyaram,
Jai Siyaram" with devotion, and high voice with the help of drums and bells. I
saw people who attended these got too spirited in this activity. The
autocelaphour IOC should think of discarding the holy hymns of liturgy and in
place they should adopt chanting "JAI, JAI CATHOLICOSE" and hope this will boost
their followers too much spirited like the people in North India, and thereby
they can satisfy the egoist claim of the Catholicate. Like in Hinduism they do
not need any prayers, only chanting of this slogan in high pitch. I hope the IOC
theologians should look into adopting this method of POOJA, and satisfy
themselves with a new INDIANIZED culture immediately.

Abin

this is unfortunate. I had cousin who worked there and he too felt
the need for the church. But if 2 or three people work for a church
it will happen.

Dear Maikel Mike

It might be possible to give the ability to see by offering an eye to a blind.
Whereas is it impossible if the person is acting blind?

Same is the case in situations which you described. How could you say you are
living? You have the capability to breath.

Do you see oxygen while breath? If not, how do you say you are breathing?
Because you are experiencing.

So is it possible to define if you cannot experience breathing?

Same is the case with the God. You won't feel him until unless you
experience him. So my brother, the best possible answer to atheists
is, ask them to experience that God by believing, then decide.

In prayers

One website I have found valuable is http://www.reasons.org . This is a
"non-denominational" site with many apologetic resources from a "scientific"
point of view. Very interesting, well thought responses.

Sincerely,
